The Logistics Division, DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens' suggestions and comments on the National Transport Master Plan, covering connectivity, travel experience and transport priorities for the next 10 years.

The Logistics Division, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with MyGov, invites suggestions and comments from citizens for the preparation of the National Transport Master Plan, which will guide the country's road, railway, aviation, maritime and urban connectivity over the next 10 years.

On the occasion of the 5th Anniversary of the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan (13 October 2026), this discussion seeks the on-ground experience and ideas of citizens who travel every day, whether for work, study, business or family. The aim is an integrated, multimodal and citizen-centric transport network that makes the movement of people and goods faster, safer and smoother.

Citizens are invited to share views on the following:

      1. First and last mile connectivity: how easily you can reach and leave stations, bus stands, airports and ports.
      2. Amenities and facilities in Railways and Roadways: at railway stations, bus stands, highways and rest areas.
      3. Expected travel time and experience from the National Capital to State Capitals: what is reasonable and what you actually experience.
      4. Expected travel time and experience from State Capitals to District Headquarters: what is reasonable and what you actually experience.
      5. Preferred mode of travel: Rail, Road or Air, and why.
      6. Local transport, including Metro and buses: availability, reliability, comfort and safety.
      7. Infrastructure priority: whether the Government should prioritise Roads or Railways, and why.
      8. Adherence to traffic laws: your suggestions to improve road discipline and safety.

first we must redesign transit stations, and bus stands by including dedicated side diversion routes that allow vehicles to smoothly enter and exit without forming bottlenecks or halting main traffic. second Amenities at these locations need a massive upgrade; for instance, resting area capacities must be increased significantly, equipping them with live train information displays so that passengers do not sleep on platforms and in common hallways, thereby preventing obstruction. third Regarding travel experience to state capitals like Delhi, Mumbai require multi-level highway infrastructure to regulate traffic on multiple levels and alleviate the two to three hour delays faced during peak hours for all normal vehicles. fourth infrastructure priority must be given to rapid road maintenance, ensuring potholes and damages are repaired within hours to maintain safety. Finally, every major city should install CCTVs at controlled intersections to enforce traffic discipline through challans.

I want that the roads of every corner of India should be made correctly in order to prevent the vehicle go away from any places and set up some road or traffic rules on the service roads beside highways such as there will follow the lane system to avoid the traffic that made by one way people that had not given a required space to other vehicles of the road to go from that lane opposite side it will help to lower traffic jams and less pollution and also make a rule on public transport like dtc buses to move the route suggested the paths covered by all bus stops come in their way to avoid traffic they had follow other lanes which result in stop that are on original way get missed and people have walk much for their destination to arrive. And also provide some dustbins around bus stops so road and side walking path would be clean and imply penalty on the vehicle that jump of from the road to side pathways and make people difficulty to walk just to escape from traffic.

Western Ghats foothills of Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram districts with established or potential dam-water storage are the Kallada/Thenmala–Achankovil valley in Kollam and the Neyyar–Karamana (Agasthyamala foothills) valleys The Kallada Irrigation Project’s Parappar dam is built across the Kallada River near Thenmala. Its reservoir has a catchment of about 549 sq km and is Kerala’s major irrigation-storage reservoir in this belt.Achankovil valley: The Achankovil River originates in the Western Ghats and drains through the forested eastern part of Kollam. National Water Development Agency studies identify Punnamedu, Achankovil Kal Ar, and an Achankovil pumped-storage scheme in this general basin, with substantial assessed storage potential. The rain water which is going to Arabian sea may be stored in artificial lake in sea coast which can be built out the rocks drilled from kerala to Theni by constructing 6 lane water way under the western ghat. The stored water can be shared to TN

I stay in Dwarka Delhi. The delhi metro is very good. Network is good, service is very good. But come outside on the roads it is chaos. The DEVI buses are running empty but roads are full. DTC regular services are poor. Need bus services in India with quality of Delhi metro...comfortable reliable and quick. Public needs to be told to stop using private cars and use public transport as much as possible. Big and small bus services should be introduced for last mile connectivity but the service should be comfortable and reliable. In cities with congestion odd even system should be enforced for private vehicles all around the year. Planned network of roads highways and expressways is needed. Nhai is doing a very good job. All other agencies and state agencies should work like nhai. Intracity roads in india are in very bad shape....major improvements needed here. Need sensistization campaigns and strict rules to enforce traffic discipline in India...will help with traffic.
