The Logistics Division, DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens' suggestions and comments on the National Transport Master Plan, covering connectivity, travel experience and transport priorities for the next 10 years.

The Logistics Division, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with MyGov, invites suggestions and comments from citizens for the preparation of the National Transport Master Plan, which will guide the country's road, railway, aviation, maritime and urban connectivity over the next 10 years.

On the occasion of the 5th Anniversary of the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan (13 October 2026), this discussion seeks the on-ground experience and ideas of citizens who travel every day, whether for work, study, business or family. The aim is an integrated, multimodal and citizen-centric transport network that makes the movement of people and goods faster, safer and smoother.

Citizens are invited to share views on the following:

      1. First and last mile connectivity: how easily you can reach and leave stations, bus stands, airports and ports.
      2. Amenities and facilities in Railways and Roadways: at railway stations, bus stands, highways and rest areas.
      3. Expected travel time and experience from the National Capital to State Capitals: what is reasonable and what you actually experience.
      4. Expected travel time and experience from State Capitals to District Headquarters: what is reasonable and what you actually experience.
      5. Preferred mode of travel: Rail, Road or Air, and why.
      6. Local transport, including Metro and buses: availability, reliability, comfort and safety.
      7. Infrastructure priority: whether the Government should prioritise Roads or Railways, and why.
      8. Adherence to traffic laws: your suggestions to improve road discipline and safety.

Have a dedicated AI assisted app to travel from one place to another displaying all modes of public transport options and costings. This may include displaying estimated time the journey may take, taking into account possible traffic delays by Satelite traffic speed monitoring in different sections on the path. This will give customers options to delay their journey, if not so important.

Respected Hon’ble Prime Minister, I am submitting a detailed public-interest proposal for strengthening India's thorium research and long-term nuclear energy programme while creating opportunities for indigenous manufacturing, MSMEs, scientific innovation, skill development, and employment. As a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) student at Maharaja Bir Bikram University, Tripura, I strongly believe that scientific research, technological innovation, and sustainable energy development are essential for India's future growth and progress towards Viksit Bharat 2047. I respectfully request the Government of India to examine the feasibility of a coordinated national initiative linking thorium research with advanced materials, rare-earth industries, domestic supply chains, technical education, and employment generation, subject to economic viability, environmental protection, and strict regulatory oversight. I would be sincerely grateful if this proposal could be forwarded .

The National Transport Master Plan should focus on providing safe, affordable, reliable and well-connected transport facilities across India. Improve last-mile connectivity between railway stations, bus stands, airports and residential areas through frequent buses, metro services and feeder transport. Maintain roads and highways, and provide clean railway stations with drinking water, toilets, seating and safety facilities. Reduce travel time between the National Capital, State Capitals and District Headquarters by improving railway infrastructure, increasing train and bus frequency, and reducing delays. Promote railways for long-distance travel and buses and metro for local journeys. Develop rural roads and transport services for remote areas. Give priority to both roads and railways according to regional needs. Improve traffic discipline through strict enforcement of rules, speed limits, road signs, street lighting and pedestrian crossings.

Standardize the planning of new infrastructure so that bullet train stations, conventional railway junctions, interstate bus terminals (ISBTs), and metro stations are housed within a single, walkable complex or connected via automated people movers (APMs).

By executing these targeted enhancements under the PM GatiShakti framework, India can transform its fragmented transport network into a highly synchronized, resilient digital infrastructure asset. This structural shift will lower logistics costs to single digits, dramatically improve road safety, and offer citizens a seamless, dignified travel experience—laying a rock-solid foundation for a developed India by 2047.

Gatishakti is a dream policy for strong transport infrastructure in all over country. I want to give some suggestion for it. 1 Passenger facility should be increase according to time example as bathroom , drinking water facility , rest area etc. 2 Passenger safety should be given top priority in gati shakti policy. 3 Standard medical facility should be available in train , bus stop and other places. 4 Bathing facility should be needed in trains and railway platform. Special time should be given for take bath in plateform. 5 meditation room should be available in railway
