The Logistics Division, DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens' suggestions and comments on the National Transport Master Plan, covering connectivity, travel experience and transport priorities for the next 10 years.

The Logistics Division, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with MyGov, invites suggestions and comments from citizens for the preparation of the National Transport Master Plan, which will guide the country's road, railway, aviation, maritime and urban connectivity over the next 10 years.

On the occasion of the 5th Anniversary of the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan (13 October 2026), this discussion seeks the on-ground experience and ideas of citizens who travel every day, whether for work, study, business or family. The aim is an integrated, multimodal and citizen-centric transport network that makes the movement of people and goods faster, safer and smoother.

Citizens are invited to share views on the following:

      1. First and last mile connectivity: how easily you can reach and leave stations, bus stands, airports and ports.
      2. Amenities and facilities in Railways and Roadways: at railway stations, bus stands, highways and rest areas.
      3. Expected travel time and experience from the National Capital to State Capitals: what is reasonable and what you actually experience.
      4. Expected travel time and experience from State Capitals to District Headquarters: what is reasonable and what you actually experience.
      5. Preferred mode of travel: Rail, Road or Air, and why.
      6. Local transport, including Metro and buses: availability, reliability, comfort and safety.
      7. Infrastructure priority: whether the Government should prioritise Roads or Railways, and why.
      8. Adherence to traffic laws: your suggestions to improve road discipline and safety.

Gatishakti is a dream policy for strong transport infrastructure in all over country. I want to give some suggestion for it. 1 Passenger facility should be increase according to time example as bathroom , drinking water facility , rest area etc. 2 Passenger safety should be given top priority in gati shakti policy. 3 Standard medical facility should be available in train , bus stop and other places. 4 Bathing facility should be needed in trains and railway platform. Special time should be given for take bath in plateform. 5 meditation room should be available in railway platform and bua stop.

By executing these targeted enhancements under the PM GatiShakti framework, India can transform its fragmented transport network into a highly synchronized, resilient digital infrastructure asset. This structural shift will lower logistics costs to single digits, dramatically improve road safety, and offer citizens a seamless, dignified travel experience—laying a rock-solid foundation for a developed India by 2047.

The PM GatiShakti National Master Plan (NMP) platform must mandate an integrated "Hydrological and Drainage Layer." Before a road or railway track is approved by the Network Planning Group (NPG), the layout must be cross-referenced with local irrigation and municipal drainage data to map natural water basins.

Accelerate the timeline for the East Coast, North-South, and East-West DFCs. Crucially, enforce "GatiShakti Cargo Terminals" at every 50-kilometer interval along these corridors to allow local MSMEs and agricultural clusters direct access to rail freight.

Standardize the planning of new infrastructure so that bullet train stations, conventional railway junctions, interstate bus terminals (ISBTs), and metro stations are housed within a single, walkable complex or connected via automated people movers (APMs).

**AI-Powered Distributed Traffic Monitoring System for Road Safety** Traffic violations often go undetected because CCTV cameras and traffic police cannot cover every road. I propose an AI-powered system using cameras installed at approved locations on shops and apartment buildings facing public roads. Each camera independently detects potential violations, such as riding without a helmet or triple riding, and captures the vehicle number plate, date, time, and location. The evidence is securely sent to authorized traffic authorities for verification and legal action. This system can expand traffic monitoring, reduce enforcement gaps, and encourage road discipline without installing government cameras everywhere. Property owners may receive approved incentives for hosting cameras. With government authorization, privacy safeguards, and accurate verification, this scalable solution can help improve traffic law enforcement and make roads safer.
