The Logistics Division, DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens' suggestions and comments on the National Transport Master Plan, covering connectivity, travel experience and transport priorities for the next 10 years.

The Logistics Division, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with MyGov, invites suggestions and comments from citizens for the preparation of the National Transport Master Plan, which will guide the country's road, railway, aviation, maritime and urban connectivity over the next 10 years.

On the occasion of the 5th Anniversary of the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan (13 October 2026), this discussion seeks the on-ground experience and ideas of citizens who travel every day, whether for work, study, business or family. The aim is an integrated, multimodal and citizen-centric transport network that makes the movement of people and goods faster, safer and smoother.

Citizens are invited to share views on the following:

      1. First and last mile connectivity: how easily you can reach and leave stations, bus stands, airports and ports.
      2. Amenities and facilities in Railways and Roadways: at railway stations, bus stands, highways and rest areas.
      3. Expected travel time and experience from the National Capital to State Capitals: what is reasonable and what you actually experience.
      4. Expected travel time and experience from State Capitals to District Headquarters: what is reasonable and what you actually experience.
      5. Preferred mode of travel: Rail, Road or Air, and why.
      6. Local transport, including Metro and buses: availability, reliability, comfort and safety.
      7. Infrastructure priority: whether the Government should prioritise Roads or Railways, and why.
      8. Adherence to traffic laws: your suggestions to improve road discipline and safety.

Sir, the straight line distance between Trivandrum and Thuthukudi is 125km approx. If we build a canal like Panama or Suez we can transt ships from West to East coast. Both places we have established Mega Port. This canal will be sweet water and tunneling may be done through Westernghat southern portion. Lot of rain water is flowing through Neyyar River, Karamana River and Vamana River into Arabian sea That water can be used for channeling. We should think something big. The project may be carried out under PPP model

Red Emergency Lane for Ambulances Problem: At busy traffic signals, ambulances get trapped in traffic for 10 to 20 minutes. Drivers cannot move aside because there is no space, putting patients' lives at risk.  Simple Solution: 1. Remove Center Dividers and make one lane in centre: Near signals (150m–300m length), remove concrete dividers to create an extra center lane without losing standard lanes.   2. Paint It Red: Paint the entire center lane bright red. This clearly shows drivers that this lane is strictly for ambulances.  3. Budget-Friendly 2-Phase Plan Phase 1 (Low Budget): Divider removal + Red paint + Rubber entry bollards + Warning signs. Works immediately without cameras Phase 2 (Future) Add AI violation cameras later when funds are available 4. How to Stop Wrong Usage: Full red color, rubber bollards at the entry, and traffic marshals keep normal vehicles out 5. Rule for New Roads: Make it mandatory for all future road projects to build red

What Does PM GatiShakti Actually Mean? "Gati" means speed, and "Shakti" means power. PM GatiShakti is a big national plan that brings all government departments together on a single screen. In the past, the team building roads, the team laying railway tracks, and the team laying gas pipelines worked separately. They rarely talked before starting a project. PM GatiShakti brings everyone together so they can plan everything at the exact same time.

      Suggestion for AI-Generated Image Governance: Unique Identifier/Watermark System to Prevent Misuse

Gatishakti is a scheme for strong infrastructure in all over country.it is a policy to strong our transportation system for trade activity. I want to give some suggestion. 1 A strict traffic rule should be framed for road safety and passenger safety. 2 Driving license should be compulsory for driving any kind of vehicle. 3 speed should be limited for private and public vehicle. 4 Traffic awareness camp should be organised for driver and other people. 5 on spot punishment system has to be develop for rough and irresponsible driving.
