The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens across India to share their constructive suggestions and innovative ideas through the initiative "Have an Idea? Share it with ICAI".

This initiative provides a platform for citizens, professionals, students, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders to contribute their valuable ideas for strengthening the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the Chartered Accountancy profession, and India's financial and economic ecosystem.

Participants are encouraged to submit their suggestions on areas such as strengthening the Chartered Accountancy profession, promoting economic development, enhancing transparency and good governance, leveraging technology and innovation, improving financial literacy, supporting entrepreneurship, and contributing towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.

The objective of this initiative is to encourage meaningful public participation and harness diverse perspectives to help build a stronger, more transparent, innovative, and future-ready Chartered Accountancy profession while contributing to an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable financial ecosystem for the nation.

Share your ideas today and become a partner in shaping the future of the Chartered Accountancy profession and India's journey towards Viksit Bharat @2047.

Blockchain-Enabled Real-Time Audit Trail (RAT) Framework Reimagining assurance for the digital economy ICAI should pioneer a Blockchain-based Real-Time Audit Trail standard, enabling CAs to continuously verify transactions instead of periodic checks. This reduces fraud, boosts investor confidence, modernises audit quality, and establishes India's Chartered Accountancy profession as a global benchmark for transparent, technology-driven, future-ready financial governance under Viksit Bharat @2047

CA Saathi can connect ICAI members with students through colleges and a digital platform to teach practical finance—saving, taxation, digital payments, investment and fraud prevention. Workshops, quizzes and verified resources can build financially aware youth, encourage entrepreneurship and support Viksit Bharat @2047.

ICAI can create “Student Finance & Innovation Labs” across colleges, bringing together CA students with engineering, management and entrepreneurship students to solve real-world financial challenges faced by MSMEs, startups and small businesses. Teams could work on practical projects such as cost reduction, cash-flow management, budgeting, digital accounting, fraud prevention and financial sustainability. ICAI could provide expert mentorship, standard problem statements, online resources and national-level competitions for the best solutions. Selected ideas could be piloted with MSMEs and publicly documented as successful case studies. This would give students practical exposure beyond textbooks while helping businesses access innovative financial solutions. It can also strengthen collaboration between professional education and technical education, promote entrepreneurship and develop future-ready financial professionals.

I propose an ICAI-led Bharat Financial Intelligence & Trust Network (B-FIT) to strengthen financial literacy, transparency, compliance and innovation across India. The platform can provide a multilingual AI-enabled assistant offering simple guidance on accounting, taxation, compliance, budgeting and financial planning, while connecting users with Chartered Accountants when professional advice is needed. A voluntary MSME Financial Health Assessment can identify cash-flow, debt and compliance gaps. A Fraud Awareness Centre can educate citizens about financial scams and digital risks. ICAI members and CA students can conduct financial-literacy programmes in schools, colleges, rural communities and MSME clusters. A Startup Finance Hub can support entrepreneurs with bookkeeping, budgeting and financial governance. B-FIT can strengthen ICAI's role as a trusted institution and contribute to good governance, inclusive growth, entrepreneurship and Viksit Bharat @2047.

Title: Innovative Suggestions for ICAI Enhancement 1. Digital Learning & AI Integration: Develop AI-powered study tools and interactive mock test analytics within the student portal to personalize learning for CA aspirants. 2. Skill Development Workshops: Introduce regular online training programs focusing on FinTech, data analytics, and professional communication alongside core accounting subjects. 3. Mentorship Network: Build an official platform feature connecting experienced CAs with current students for structured career guidance and mentorship. 4. Streamlined Articleship Tracking: Simplify the articleship documentation and reporting interface to make compliance easier and more transparent for trainees.

Taiwan style receipt lottery could improve tax compliance India should consider adapting Taiwan’s Uniform Invoice Lottery for GST purchases. Taiwan has used it since 1951 to encourage consumers to demand receipts, reducing hidden sales and tax evasion. Electronic invoices also qualify. India could create an India Digital Receipt Reward Scheme linked to GST invoices. Every genuine invoice could enter a monthly draw. Hundreds of ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 prizes and a few major prizes of ₹1 lakh, ₹10 lakh or ₹1 crore could encourage consumers to say “Give me the bill.” The system could use GST and UPI, with prizes transferred to verified winners. Extra rewards could encourage digital invoices. Promoting digital payments can reduce cash transactions and help boost our economy and curb black money. This is a tool for tax compliance, invoice generation and digitalisation. MyGov could pilot it and measure whether receipt demand and GST reporting increase.

The central Govt initiative to increase the MPs strength to more than 850 is not readonable and is anti national. The present strength of 550 members of parliament (MPs), (the so called social workers but actually the exploiters) is more than sufficient to misuse the tax payers money. They are misusing about Rs 5 crores per head per year doing nothing for national development. The additional money of about 2800 crores per year proposed to be spent on unproductive so called social workers (MPs) must be to improve the education facilities of our next generation. I fail to understand when these politicians call themselves as social workers why they draw salary of more than 2.5 lakhs per month which is equal or higher than class l officers in central government. It is totally illogical when majority of them are not properly educated. There must be a minimum qualification to enter politics. The pension, especially multiple, to politicians must be stopped immediately.

I propose that the Government undertake a 30–50 year empirical study to determine whether strategic diversification of India's export receipts into precious metals, particularly silver and gold, could improve India's long-term real external wealth and economic resilience

Idea: “Digital Taxpayer & Professional Support Hub” ICAI could develop a unified digital platform that brings together tax updates, regulatory changes, compliance calendars, FAQs, practical case studies, professional guidance, and taxpayer education in one place. The platform could use AI to explain complex provisions in simple language, provide personalised compliance reminders, and help users identify the correct forms, procedures, and deadlines. The platform could also include a “Voice of the Profession” feature where Chartered Accountants, students, taxpayers, educators, and other stakeholders can submit suggestions, identify recurring compliance difficulties, and propose improvements. ICAI could periodically analyse these suggestions and publish an “Ideas Implemented” dashboard showing which recommendations have been accepted and acted upon. This would strengthen transparency, taxpayer awareness, professional efficiency, digital innovation, and participatory governance.
