Winner Announcement of Online Quiz on Know Your Forces

On the occasion of Republic Day Parade 2020, Ministry of Defence in collaboration with MyGov.in conducted an online quiz on the theme ‘Know Your Forces’ from 1st January to 15th January, 2020 with an aim to create patriotic feeling among the youth and masses across the nation. The quiz was open for all Indian citizens above 14 years of age.

कौशल विकास और उद्यमशीलता मंत्रालय द्वारा युवाओं को उद्यमी बनने के लिए प्रेरित करके भारत के आर्थिक विकास को उत्प्रेरित करने के उद्देश्य से राष्ट्रीय उद्यमिता पुरस्कार (एनईए) आरंभ किए गए थे। वास्तविकता यह थी कि रोजगार इच्छुक की तुलना में अधिक रोजगार सृजक तैयार करना । यह इस दृष्टिकोण पर आधारित था कि भारत के युवाओं में पर्वत हिलाने और अपने हाथों से भाग्य लिखने की क्षमता है, बशर्ते उन्हें सही अवसर प्रदान किए जाएँ । इससे उन्हें अपने व्यवसाय को चलाने और दूसरों के साथ उसे विकसित करने संबंधी सकारात्मक ऊर्जा को रूपांतरित करने की अनूभूति होगी ।

The National Entrepreneurship Awards (NEA), were instituted by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship with the objective to catalyse the economic growth of India by motivating the youth to become entrepreneurs. The underlying reality was to create more job creators rather than job seekers. The vision was based on the insight, that the youth of India, have the ability to move mountains and take destiny into their own hands, provided given the right opportunity.

Mrs Lakshmi married to a poor agricultural family of Khirhani village in Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh. Her father-in-law’s house compelled her to work as an agricultural labour to contribute to the livelihoods of her family. She became a member of Gayatri SHG of her village during the year 2013. One year after joining the SHG she got an opportunity to undergo training on sustainable agricultural practices organised by MPSRLM. After the training was imparted to her, she was selected and appointed as a Krishi Sakhi of her village. She used the skills she learnt during the training programme to mobilize the fellow women farmers of the village to adopt the sustainable agricultural practices through providing them handholding support, field demonstrations and technical inputs.

On 5th January 2018, while launching the Aspirational Districts Programme (ADP), Hon’ble Prime Minister said that “we are living in an era of immense possibilities which in turn creates opportunities. We need to identify existing aspirations in the District and channelise them to create ripple effect for transforming Aspirational Districts. The development of every village of these 112 districts is vital to our commitment to social justice.” Thus, it was clear to all that ADP was a bold attempt to reduce the inter-state and inter-district variations in development by adopting an evidence-based policy making approach driven by real-time data.

Roseline Purti was in shock in 2013 after her husband passed away suddenly, as he was the sole earning member of the family. The entire family’s financial burden fallen on Roseline. She has four daughters and after the death of her husband, she was completely distressed thinking about her daughter’s future. Roseline involved herself in the MKSP activities under DAY-NRLM in the year 2014 and got exposed to business of tamarind. She knew that she had to work hard to support her family financially. She established her business in 2015 after undergoing 45 days of skill training provided by two trainers from Hyderabad.
