The Department of Commerce, Government of India hosted an online essay writing competition on MyGov as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in August 2021. The sun will rise a little to the north on Makar Sankranti, January 14, bringing along many messages of cultural, spiritual and agricultural significance for the country. The word “sankranti” signifies transitional movement, the movement for betterment within and without, transitions on a cosmic level and in the zodiac signs.

India is a developing, a diverse and the second largest populated country in the world. Our Prime Minister of India keeps trying to improve the condition of citizens. He implements initiatives or schemes for development of our country. One of the such schemes is providing free ration to ration card holders during the pandemic. This scheme started in March 2020 & this action taken by the government of India benefitted me and my family members. This scheme has been conducted in a nice manner. Since last 1.5 years, we are getting free of cost ration every month which includes rice, wheat grains and sometimes black gram (chana). This initiative saved our money and has changed the way we look at the government. I would like to thank the government of India for implementing this scheme during such a crucial time.

Following in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s footsteps, Madhya Pradesh has simplified laws and procedures to ensure speedy delivery of services to people. My political career has been a reflective journey driven by a commitment to empower the people of Madhya Pradesh. I remember Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s words: “Empowering the individual means empowering the nation. And empowerment is best served through rapid economic growth with rapid social change.” These words have become the guiding light of my resolve to serve the people of Madhya Pradesh with transparency, accountability and a keen sense of strategic vision.
