World Mental Health Day is celebrated on 10th October every year, with overall objective of raising issues of mental health around the world and mobilizing efforts in support of mental health. Based on this objective, MoHFW is taking a unique initiative to inspire people with the stories of achievers who fought with any kind of mental health illness. Being open about mental health experiences and the journey of overcoming the same might be beneficial for others who are seeking for help to fight mental illness. To bring together the achievers (who fought with mental illness) as well as the seekers (who are looking for help to overcome mental health illness). Ministry of Health and Family Welfare invites people to share and inspire.

This World Health Day, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare invites people to share how they or someone they know fought with mental illness and came out with flying colours. #ShareToInspire

People talk of inspiring yoga or doing meditation or daily exercise etc. but they forget that the mental health can be relieved only by removing tensions by improving human resources management. In India unemployment is high and those who are employed, they also have lot of tensions, higher work load, unachievable targets etc. Government should make efforts in improving employment situations. People can work with less pay but employment should be guaranteed and work environment improved.
