The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

China is a manufacturing superpower because it has human resources to staff semi-skilled and skilled tasks at the lower and middle levels. ‘Make in India’ cannot succeed without the base of the vocational educat

i could see that there is a lot of thinking been done in the run up to expand the cabinet. The challenge in choosing the new ministerial candidate is done with excellence. Now only the time will tell whether these kind of recruitments can give results with a sustained polity. This too can be monitored by regulatory agencies and that they could provide timely assistance into building up of these new ministers. If all goes well, i think the time has come to get rid of old gen. of politicians

India would became developed country when our all state & center governments stop the expenses on building the statues and creating unnecessary debate , wasting time for media . The indian citizens need to give respect to our freedom fighters , leaders who gave their life for this country at soul level not at statue level . We need to have more projects like power generations, good roads without tolls , bridges , water saving concepts

if our educated youth are forced to take up odd jobs to meet their needs, our poor be forced to forage for food in dustbins along with dogs, if our women are treated worse than farm animals and if lakhs of people are forced to sleep on the streets and excrete in the open! Sir, your concern for improving the sanitation facilities of the country was a step in this direction. Please focus on the real issues plaguing our country. The spirit of Sardar Patel will be happier with this as a felicitation
