Reserved tickets can be booked at Computerised Passenger Reservation System centres operated by Indian Railways and also online through website www.irctc.co.in. Unreserved tickets can be purchased from Computerised Unreserved Ticketing System counters and also Automatic Ticket Vending Machines which have been installed at major stations.

Suggest solutions for efficient ticketing system.

Respected railway member i would like to inform u that most of d machines (smart card) in mumbai & around mumbai are not functioning properly which create huge problem 4 d commuter & bcs of this i feel most of d commuter wont choose railway card 2 purchase ticket. If this matter is nt address now then in future commuters wont care what railway provide them through card system

WHY ONLY IRCTC, OTHER PARTIES SHOULD ALSO BE INVOLVED TO GIVE MORE CUSTOMER ORIENTED SERVICES.RESERVATION TIME EXTENDED TO 04 MONTHS SHOULD BE REVERTED BACK TO 02 MONTHS BECAUSE IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR DEFENCE PERSONNELS TO GET THEIR LEAVE SIGNED OR JOURNEYS PLANNED 04 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE JOURNEY DATE.

Please install more server so that people can atlest book tatkal ticket during season and solve the problem of"This site is currently unreachable,please try later" Because if we go for premium tatkal there no such problem. So, please stop This you are also doing corruption indirectly.

pls introduce REAL TIME "check in"and pnr status update via mobile even on moving train facility in rail system suppose a person A is having a confirmed ticked from mumbai to delhi and a person B is having a wl no1 ticket for same train and route and a person c is having a wl5 ticket. and person A cancel after chart had been prepared next allotment should be to person B but on train person c bribes the TTE and gets the vacant seat.this can be solved by "check in" system.

सर जी मै सैनिको के टिकट के बारे मे बताना चाहता हु कि सैना के जवानो को वारंट मिलता है पर जब भी हम उसे तुडाने जाते है तो उसमे wL मे ही न मिलता है जवानो को परिवार के साथ यात्रा करने मे बडी परेशानी होती है ओर जो सैना से जुडे इलाके है जैसे NE मे रेल की संख्या बडाने से यात्रीयो को परेशानी कम होगी कयोकि जाद जवान पंजाब युपी राजस्थान के वहा कार्य करते है पर रेल की कमी के कारण घंटो जवान स्टेशन पर ही पडे रहते है रेल कि रफतार को भी बडाने से ठीक है

New ticketing system allows booking of tickets 4 months in advance. It is very difficult for us to plan our lvr/travel 4 months advance. this new system has made ticket availability difficult. I would request this been changed.

IRCTC website need to be revamped. Quote allocation of tickets should be reduced. Because of un-necessary quota & quota allocation of tickets, lot of agents are in action & corruption is thriving.

why don't it is compulsory to check the general tickets, because I have seen lot of passengers travelling without tickets. so that revenue can be increased. I think putting ticket collector is much more economical than loosing so much money.
