While giving licences to shops and establishments, the cost of dustbins should be inculuded. Cost can be maximum Rs.100/-. This gives scope to establish dustbin manufacturing industries and gives lot of employment. The picking up of dust from the dustbin will be easy for corporations. I feel an immediate effect will be there on cleanliness.

Recommendations: Keeping dust bin should be mandatory, by law, for all shops, establishments, petty shops, road side vendors etc. All dust bins should be of SAME SIZE, SAME COLOUR throughout Bharat. Min. penalty for not keeping dustbins outside their shop should be Rs.1000/- per inspection. All these dustbins should be standardized at Central Level and norms be circulated and awareness be created through media. This should be done on priority basis in all state capitals to begin with.

Gap- Non segregation of waste leading to issues in waste collection, disposal and recycling Recommendation- Awareness campaign for citizens to throw biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste separately in 2 separate bins Expected Outcome- non biodegradable waste can be recycled resolving major environmental issues, whereas biodegradable waste can be handled locally by burring etc.
