Dear Hon. PM of India. Please note my three suggestions. !. It is no use three people including yourself going around with a NEW broom, as they say "it may sweep well for the time being! But how about making sure providing 1.24 billion BROOMS to the population. I noticed that in the WESTERN countries they there are training centres to train how to "Wash One's Hands. There at least a 12 to 15 varieties of Brooms and countless types BINS. India can not be cleaned by pouring money on the street

Suggest that we systematically address the entire chain of solid waste management in each city. For this a pilot project should be developed and then showcased. This should include 1. Collection from home 2. Clean Dhalao 3. Proper transport to landfill 4. Scientifically designed, implemented and properly maintained landfill Is this happening anywhere? Also, what is the purpose of these discussion groups - if no summary or responses are being posted. Only a place to vent feelings?

NO NEED TO RUN, PROVIDE DUST BINS FOR SWACHH BHARAT All industries "please Arrange dust bins for swachchh bharat" on public areas.

When we elect a new Govt it is with great expectations that the new Govt will solve problems that the earlier regime was incapable of. A citizen who has a minor problem which only govt intervention can solve, now realizes that the worst is yet to come. Public money will be spent on luxuries - smart cities, bullet trains, all help to businessmen to amass more wealth, publicity blitz. All in the name of poor people. Jai Hind

I read in newspaper that many people are dying in Delhi due to bad air quality. Added to that there is no proper cleaning; no money to pay to MCD sweepers. Stray dogs and their refuses are everywhere - on roads, on parks. myGovt has a solution - Yoga dance to become world class. Jai Hind

Presently in Mumbai, less than 1% of all buidings have rain water harvesting. if this figure could be increased to say 60% over a period of 5 years we could have a significant improvement both in water supply during summers as well as better drainage in rainy season. I suggest that the government should make it compulsory for all societies with more than 20 members to install harvesting system else pay a penalty and also at the same time incentivize those who install it.

It is a common grouse in cities now that OH.. there is so much water logging here or there. Every body is blaming the government / local body. But I think every one of us is equally to blame for aggrevating the problem. Earlier when the land was open or was covered by trees, the water would soak in the ground. But now with buildings all over all this water gets in to the drains thereby overloading the drains. There is a very simple solution to this... Rain Water Harvesting..

Swatch Bhaarath is good initiative but unless a good infrastructure is given by the Govt it will not give any fruit. Make hard rules such that waste must be segregated into degradable, plastic, paper in house itself and Municipalities also has to collect it properly and must dispose it appropriately. Proper infrastructure must be provided in public places like bus stand, railway station etc. And proper equipments are also not given to Municipal workers which directly impact on their health.
