Presume that the GST framework will like the Income Tax , only allow for such credits to be utilised as already stand reported on a TIN like portal , so that there is no dispute as to its legality etc etc . The date for uploading GST data by those paying tax can be the same day or one later day, so the system stays current and all authorites can view and verify it

With the millions who now have Bank Accounts, if at all the aim is to flush out the excess unreported cash floating in the economy, why not set a target date by which all cash must be deposited into Banks and from the new date, new notes would be issued ? Each account holder may be granted a debit card so that all funds more or less stay within a reportable system ? An incentive to pay by card [ as a % of tax payable ] would assist , and digital India would transform all transactions ?
