As part of the Ministry of Urban Development’s Smart City Challenge, Udaipur Municipal Corporation has recently completed the round one of the citizen’s consultation. Based on the outcome of round one, Corporation is now preparing to undertake several activities for citizen’s engagement in round two. As part of round two, Udaipur Municipal Corporation now invites suggestions/ feedbacks on one of the priority area i.e. ‘intelligent government services’ required by Udaipur city to be smart. All services are provided through online and offline platforms. Citizens and officials can access information on accounting and monitor status of projects and programs through data available on online system. Robust data infrastructure system shares information and enhances internal governmental coordination.

Please give your suggestions that what all services should be there?

Last date for submission is 4th December, 2015.

Infact it is a time consuming process / tough in obtaining a passport. So, as a flagship pragramme, a passport office may established in Udaipur with all the modern facility to reduce time consumption. Here instead of asking for every detains of the applicant, information may be obtained from OTHER card in website of Govt. of India.

Piped Gas supply : Each household should have piped gas supply irrespective of the fact that at some places it is difficult to negotiate rocky areas. Modern technology and methods have simplified the task of laying pipelines in difficult terrains. Creating a smart city would entail liberal use of modern technologies, machinery and a smart professional mindset of people entrusted with the job.

Underground electricity, water and telephone wires : To achieve smart urban planning, cleanliness and easy to use systems for the people, a clutter free environment has to be created. Water, electricity and telephone lines have to go beneath the ground.
