The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens.

Please share your ideas to make Pasighat – a credible Smart City.

The last date to submit your suggestions / comments is 10th December, 2015.

As Pasighat is surrounded by many reserve forest and national sanctuary it should and be develop to attract more tourists.

*Educational and health care facility / waste management industries /job opportunities/ recycling of waste materials/ good governance/ administered be made closer to each other/ use of lands towards magnificence enagrl / improved drainage system /efficient control room to receive the problem of people of the city for quick disposition of of solution

1. Want good hospital so that our peoples are not compelled to go outside the state for treatment. 2. Good facilities in the hospital such as electricity(round the clock & with high voltage) water & for sanitation. 3. Also good electric facilities for the public. 4. Good transport system inside the town. 5. Want ATM in every corner of Pasighat.

The features of smart city are 1)automatic traffic signals.2) Better public transport facility, to reduce traffic on roads there will be improvement in existing public transport system. 3) Quick accident relief.Data center.4)face identification system to nab criminal,the photos and DNA of criminals and suspect will be entered in computer and information will also be shared with other cities.4)Control room: there will be an integrated control room for crime, health,services.

* protection of natural greens, flora and fauna. * Police free point, which should be controlled by CCTV Camera instead of making POLICE MAN stand on road where they are all just standing and making no sense of controlling the traffic

Pasighat is the headquarter of east siang district in arunachal pardesh. It is also arunachal is oldest town. The place is blessed with natural beauty and the slightly siang flows through it. The term has been choose as one of the smaet city project and fulfils most of the criteria for the smart.

*Pasighat, surrounded by bountiful natural beauty by the side of mighty river siang,emphasis should be given on eco-tourism. This would make pasighat a smart city with smart people. People's cooperation is highly anticipated.

For my dream smart pasighat, efficient urban mobility and public transport is also very important. For smart city Pasighat IT connectivity and digitalization is very important.
