The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens.

Assured Electricity Supply with atleast 10% of the Smart City’s energy requirement coming from solar Adequate water supply including waste water recycling and storm water reuse Sanitation including solid waste management Rain water harvesting Smart Metering Robust IT connectivity and digitalization Pedestrian friendly pathways Encouragement to non-motorised transport (e.g. walking and cycling) Intelligent traffic management Non-vehicle streets/zones Smart parking

Environmental hazards follows when there need to deforestation, change the course of river, labeling of land, erecting of structure, construction of dam etc. Every developmental activities including of private party should get clearance from department of Forest and environment.

DAMBUK, Dec 7: The preparation for the 2nd edition of Orange Festival for Adventure and Music is in full swing at Dambuk - the land of juicy oranges. The four days festival from Dec 15 to 18, one of the calendar event of the state government, will be flagged off by the Chief Minister, NabamTuki on Dec 15 amidst the orange orchards at Akoko Village under Dambuk. It is one of its kinds of Adventure cum Music Festival in the country.
