My suggestions for our city is as follows:-
1) Traffic to be regulated with different lanes for two wheelers and four wheelers.
2)Proper zebra crossings for pedestrians at all the main highways.
3) Cross over bridges for pedestrians at the busy roads at various intervals.
4)All roads to be laid properly as soon the UGD work is completed.
5)A metro rail is the need of the hour so that more people can use that instead of using more private vehicles.

Coimbatore needs an elevated expressway on Avinashi road from LIC junction to neelambur to ease the ever persistent Congestion on this arterial road.
2. Western bye pass should be taken up immediately
3. The byepass from neelambur to perianaickenpalayam should be expedited as well. With both these bye pass roads coimbatore will finally have an outer ring road.

My Suggestions are
1. Six Lane Tracks in Avinashi Road, Trichy Road, Mettupalayam Road with less intersections.
2. Else a bridge across Avinashi road, Trichy road, oppanakara street and cross cut road covering city limit with paths in specific/ key areas alone to cliem up and down
3. Ring Roads
4. Bridges at all main railway gates
5. Enough Parking slots mandatory for all buildings
6. Strict rules to follow lane during driving
7. Above all quality infrastructure

Pedestrians are treated as third rate citizens in our cities. No. Priority is given for them on our roads and no facilities are created for them such as footpaths, zebra crossings etc. Walking on our roads is very unsafe and it is proven by the fact that Coimbatore has the highest ratio of road fatalities in Tamil Nadu. Creating well designed pedestrian infrastructure is a precursor to becoming a smart city

To reduce parking congestion -- All new buildings should have mandatory sufficient basement car parking (both commercial and residential).
To define territory -- all encroached area should be claimed back by the corporation.
To manage traffic -- traffic signals should illuminate correctly else the contractors should be penalised for providing poor quality electrical equipments.
Roads should be properly laid and maintained. Speed breakers should be properly marked.
