Coimbatore is also known as south Indian Manchester. We have to prove it again by offering all the benefits and subsidies to the Textile industry so that they can focus to start them in villages and rural areas.

Perur Temple is very old and of historic importance. We should maintain the temple and develop the surrounding areas and facilities.

Most essential is proper infrastructure. I recommend we set up a body to monitor all around the year to fix any road/ sewage: public complaints. Complaint management should be made transparent to gain confidence from the residents. Possibly a dream but if the complaint mgmt comes online and we are able to fix or close the complaint then that is a success in all ways. Coimbatore corporation would eventually become the smartest city planner in the nation.

Thanks for selecting Coimbatore to be developed in to a smart city. Coimbatore has the maximum no of good engineering and arts colleges in Tamilnadu and apt to be a smart city. We need to develop basic infrastructures like good roads, drainage, fly overs at important junctions like Lakshmi Mills, Ramanathapuram. Also public should be educated on road safety and importantly lane discipline. Elevated highway from Saibaba Colony till Coimbatore Airport via Gandhipuram, Lakshmi Mills is a must.

To be a Smart City, we have to implement Smart & Sustainable solutions to the cities problems. One such solution to conserve water is to make it mandatory to install automatic water level controllers in all overhead tanks in each house to avoid wastage of precious water by overflowing

The city of Coimbatore should primarily Focus on Waste Management as I feel a lot of dump is being accumulated in some areas despite municipality playing it's best level of responsibility. Equally important is the education of Youth and common masses to let them know about their responsibility of cleanliness related to their Surrounding, not just confined to Their Home alone. Despite Center and the state trying it's best, still the excision education among people isn't showing the desired result
