There should no cash handling in any government related payments. bank cards should be used for all payments. those who dont have bank cards should be able tp use prepaid cards which can be issued by banks in all yhe government offices. this is one way to ensure we avoid corruption. Second stage should be machines to accept payments for government services like atm machines which should be used for all kinds of gevernmental payments which would work 24/7/365 this will spread the payment easily.

coimbatore is a city where people are friendly by natute. it has always been a city of industries. this is my vision for coimbatore.
Vision: Clean, Green, Modern with strong connection to its roots.
Strenghts: Industry and enterprenuership.
City: traffic should be more organised. people should use more public transport. incentives to be given to encourage people using public transport. Atleast one a month and on public holidays people should avoid using fossil fuel and trduce our cost.

Schools & Colleges can adopt roads & colonies/ streets in Cbe and get citizens involved inmaintaig hygene. Give awards/ prices to the extent of Govt jobs to best 10 individuals every year. Concept of keeping own house/ residence clean but dirty neighbourhood needs to be changed in the mindset of we Indians. Make example of men urinating in public through electronic media and humiliate them and their family.

The vision should be to build a self-sustainable city with 24/7 access to water, power and other basic amenities. The immediate concern is to address the traffic problem in the city. Hence, emphasis must be given to build a metro/BRTS on a priority basis.

Enforce & implement existing laws To enforce traffic discipline, make PCB-certificate of 6 months validity mandatory. Introduce batteryoperated rickshaws.Ban entry of dangerously loaded vehicles & pax buses overloading cargo.Overcome shortage of traffic police by taking NCC cadets,homeguards,ex-servicemen associations help. Make 01 period in a week on traffic discipline compulsory in schools & thus tap secondary schoolchildren's help. Don't allow banks & PO in busy roads as parking is difficult.

One look around coimbatore, the roads, the drains, the cables, just about anywhere, there's one thing written all over. Poor quality of work, and the reason? Corruption. If we have to be a smart city corruption has to be out of the equation. Everything else will fall in place. And everybody knows that. Now that there's going to be lot of money driven into making smart cities, I can only see our people laughing all the way to the bank, making half baked not so smart cities..

Need Clean road - most of the time the road is filled with sand dust and this creates more pollution and impacts pedestrians and two wheeler drivers.
Public transport -We can request people to take public transport only if the bus and train has necessary facilities. So need to maintain and manage the public transport services better
Traffic - Need to implement the traffic rules strictly, this is one of the most important requirement for smart city.
Foot path - Every road should have this.
