Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation has been selected through a competitive process for SMART City Mission initiative of Government of India. In the next phase, Coimbatore city has to compete with 98 other cities from across the country to make it into the Top 20 cities which will be taken up for the first round of funding, for the financial year 2015-16.

Citizens and stakeholders of Coimbatore are requested to post their views and suggestions on how to make Coimbatore a Smart one. The citizens may organize their thoughts on the following topics

1. What should be the Vision of the Coimbatore
2. Strengths, areas of improvement & solutions across the following sectors

a. City Spatial Structure, Transportation and Green Spaces
b. Energy, Water, Waste Water and Environment
c. Housing, Health, Education, Security, Law and Order
d. Citizen Engagement, Smart Solutions and IT-led service delivery

improvisation of drainage facilities as leakage every where good road laying and construction of namma toilets at important places

1. We need good smart public transport system to reduce individual vehicle usage, which will reduce congestion in the city roads.Before that many flyovers are badly the need of this city . 2. Garbage management is not enough. Still better mgmt needed and public awareness has to be improved. People dump garbage in the nearest empty land.Need for the hour is more bins with regular pick up of the bins daily.

15.அனைத்து இடங்களிலும் சத்திகரிக்கப்பட்ட குடிநீர் வழங்கு நிலையங்கள். 16. சாலை ஒரங்கள் அனைத்தும் எப்போதும் பசுமையாக பராமரிக்க தகுந்த தனியாக பணியாளர்களை நியமிக்க வேண்டும்.

12. நகருக்கு வெளியே அரசு,தனியார் பேருந்து நிறுத்தங்கள் நகரின் 10 முக்கிய சாலைகளிலும் நவீன பேருந்து நிலையங்கள்,அங்கிருந்து நகரின் அனைத்து இடங்களுக்கும் செல்ல சிற்றுந்து வசதிகள். 13.அனைத்து சாலைகளிலும் ,பேருந்து நிலையங்களிலும் நவீன கழிப்பிட வசதிகள் மேற்பார்வையாளர் மற்றும் துப்புறவு பணியாளர்களுடன். 14. அனைத்து சிலைகளிலும் முன் கட்டண முறை ஆட்டோ,டாக்சி தெளிவான வழித்தடம்,தூரம் பற்றிய தகவல்களுடன்.

9.வெளி மாநில தொழிலாளர் பதிவு,உதவி மற்றும் ஆலோசனை மையங்கள்.அந்தந்த மாநில அரசின் செயலகங்களுடன் தொடர்பு வசதியுடன். மேலும் அவர்களுக்கான குறைந்த கட்டன தங்கும் விடுதிகள். 10.போக்குவரத்து நெரிசலைக் குறைக்க(கார்களின்) அதிநவீன குளிரூட்டப்பட்ட சிற்றுந்து வசதிகள் அனைத்து பகுதிகளுக்கும் செல்லும் வகையில். 11.பள்ளிவாகனங்கள்,கல்லூரி வாகனங்கள்,தொழில் நிறுவன வகனங்கள்,சரக்கு வாகனங்கள் என ஒவ்வொன்றுக்கும் தனித்தனி நேர அட்டவணை.

7.தொழில் முனைவர்களால் வளர்ந்த நகரத்தின் தொழில் துறையைக்கு உதவக்கூடிய வகையில் உலகின் அனைத்து பாகங்களிலும் உள்ள தொழில் நகரங்களின்....வர்த்தக தொழில் அமைப்புகளுடன் எளிதாக தொடர்பு கொள்ளக்கூடிய வகையிலான காணொளிக்காட்சி வசதியுடன். 8.பள்ளி கல்லூரிகள் நிறைந்த நகரம் என்பதால் மாணவர்களுக்கு உதவும் வகையிலான உயர்தரத்திலான கல்வி வேலைவாய்ப்பு ஆலோசனை மற்றும் பயிற்சி மையங்கள்.

4.குறைந்தபட்சம் நான்கு அதிநவீன ஒருங்கிணைந்த அனைத்து அனுமதி (single window clearance ) மையங்கள் உயர் தொழில் தகவல் தொழில்நுட்ப வசதியுடன்.(இடம்,கட்டிடம்,தொழில், சொத்து,குடிநீர் இணைப்பு,சாக்கடை,மின்சாரம்.....) 5.நகரின் மத்தியில் உள்ள நீதிமன்றங்களை நகருக்கு வெளியே 20 கிலோமீட்டர் தொலைவில் நெடுஞ்சாலையில் மாற்ற வேண்டும். 6.அதிநவீன தகவல் தொழில் நுட்ப வசதியுடன் அனைத்து மண்டலங்களிலும் மின்னணு நூலகங்கள்.

1.கோவையின் எல்லா மண்டலத்திலும் பெரிய விளையாட்டு திடல்கள். 2.நமது நகரின் பாரம்பரியத்தை பறைசாற்றும் வகையில் நான்கு திசைகளிலும் பொழுதுபோக்கு மையங்கள் (தரமான உணவகங்கள் -நியாமான விலையில், நடைபாதைகள்,சுத்தமான குடிநீர், கழிவறைகள்)குழந்தைகள், பெரியவர்கள்,இளைஞர்கள் என அனைவருக்குமான பொழுதுபோக்கு அம்சங்களுடன். 3.நகரின் 10 முக்கிய சாலைகளிலும் தியான மண்டபத்துடன் கூடிய பெரிய பூங்காக்கள்.
