The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) is being implemented in HUBLI-DHARWAD (Karnatak) for the last two years but it dodged with innumerable problems. The local political leaders instead of supporting the project in the interest of development they have been silent spectators if not opposing it. The land acquisition is moving at snails speed because Land Acqquision Officer has not been posted. Now to add to the agony even the Director has been posted out. Rs.694 Crore project is STRUCK. Action pleas

Car Registration fee for other states private vehicles should be stopped. Public is being harassed by taking toll tax, road tax multiple times. There should not be multi registration for the same vehicle and public should not be punished/ harassed by collecting such type of tax multiple times.

Dear Mr. PM now that you have decided to expand the Cabinet please make sure that the exercise includes promotion for performers sacking for dead wood and new induction based purely on merit. I had earlier commented on the Ministers hailing from Karnatak. All the three hail from South Karnatak and there is urgent need to induct somebody from North Karnatak. In case an additional berth can't be given to Karnatak then replacing one of the existing Ministers may be considered.

road construction in our country is totally corrupted by nexus of officers and contractors. large amount is bypassed illigally as commission. there is need to review the law for post construction maintenance and liability.
