The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

All the market places should be cleaned at first and the shopkeepers or owners must be instructed that they will be fined if any garbage is seen near or around there shop.If you see markets like karol bagh lajpat nagar, nehru place in Delhi you will see that they are a disgrace to the word "Market".It might be a usual scenario for indians as we are now doing our bit to clean our country but when foreigners see it it obviously does not feel anythng "incredible" about our cities and markets.

Rural & Urban India today has become immensely mobile and economically vibrant as consultant I quite often come across cases where a person faces lot of trouble with regard to properties and assets owned by him especially in case of natural disasters or death etc. Wouldn't it be nice if government were to introduce electronic lockers through agencies like NSDL whereby property papers FD's from bank details of PO Acts LIC policy details could be electronically maintained.

..... Contd from my previous comment. Similarly welding of steel structures. All welders and fabricators working on national infrastructure must have accredited training before being allowed to work on those project. Otherwise during rapid and rushed development of much needed infrastructure things are bound to go wrong and result in poor quality, consequently less life and more maintenance work. ACCREDITED Training for any worker on national infrastructure must be made MANDATRORY.

Labour used in construction industry must be strictly regulated. Infrastructure development is the single most important parameter for a sustainable and healthy economy. Infrastructure must be guaranteed with a minimum life of 100 years. Infrastructure development needs max manpower which currently is unregulated. Cement Concrete is one of the basic and cheapest materials for construction requires a high degree of training to properly handle the material. Only trained people must handle it.
