The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

To develop skill in any field, we need two things - first skill is properly measured and second, it is measured by a person who is an expert in that. What this means is a) Skill measurement must be made independent of caste / creed / religion or any social group for that matter e.g. OBC enters college with 50% - but a brahmin does not even with 80% - how? b) The person leading a skill group must himself / herself be an expert in that area e.g. Mr. Sharad Pawar heads BCCI - what rationale?

Human behavior is contagious. Here's a unique experiment to educate people on electricity consumption, and reducing it! Try replicating it in your city/town/society/colony/home. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=606931256103264

It must be given to Government Sector or by PSU. If its done by private sector then private sector will see their profit and they may ignore environment norms in result it will lead to global warming or earth quake
