The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

Regarding Rehabilitation of beggars from my point of view the children should be sent to school and there parents should be given some sort training so that they become self employed. Initially the must be counseled regarding the importance of working. Old people should be taken care by the government in some rehabilitation homes.

The skill developement in mining sector must be taken as soon as possible . we all already know that coal block is going to be auctioned to all electricity producing companies, steel, aluminium, cement companies. so the coal or gas(cng, methene, shell gas etc) must be given to the public and private companies as required . there should not be any discreation between private and public organisation, even in the case of other mineral auction programme. the auction programme should be completed for all type minerals which can be extracted within next 1 year . because India has less time to come upto the standard of China. we have to think always that we have to be superpower in industry and commerce in Asia within next 3-5 years by Make in India concept promoted by our honourable Modiji. there are almost 34 engeneering colleges who offered diploma bachelor and master degree in mining engineering but they don't offer any short time course for the mining workers , by which they can perform their work more smartly and confidently. skill developement ,motivational and entertanment programme should run by the corporates with joint cooperation with the training institutes for the mining workers, who can think from a mining worker today ,he can become the ceo of a mining company with his/her skill set. specific specialised courses for every mining sector should be started by govornrmrnt first then the private should be encouraged as in a country like India, private and public educational and corporate sector both has to work jointly to develop the skill of mining workers, employees and management....

It create more compititivness that improve quality of training. 2. Easy flow of new technoogy based knowledge from abroad besides our usual training 3. Practical field training will better under private sector as trained can enjoy more individual focus Yes then also all should supervise and certify by a government establish univer
