The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

The question of who to undertake the skill development in the respective area is not important. The important thing is what our 'planning' wants to achieve from them. After all we must believe in any agency of functioning including government & non-government. But at the same time a check must be there to assess the work done by the agency considering whether it is working in the interest of the nation or their personal growth for profit.

Manipur Police, Manipur Rifles, Indian Reserved Battalions' Security personnel are giving Rs. 1000/- only each as their Ration Money. This compels to give them forced leave on rotational basis. They demand to give the Ration money at par of Central Forces @ Rs. 2500/- or more to meet the situation.

In Tripura State, no bad road is found. They construct roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sarak Yojana whereas in Manipur, there is no good road at all. Today Trinamul Congress has demanded to oust Shri Francis Ngajokpa, RD & PR Minister from Minister berth on corruption and bribery charges. He has more concentrated on contract works to get more commissions. Kindly look into this.

Manipur Govt. has no ban on recruitment in respect of Home, Education, Health and Rural Development Departments. This largely creates total imbalance in civil administration. Even in Manipur Secretariat (GAD), leader of the Govt. has encouraged contract employees appointment. Present and future of Manipur will be in dark side. More thrust of the Govt. has been given on Police Recruitment. This indicates that there is no sign of Good Governance in Manipur State.

Dear Mr. Prime Minister, I am writing on behalf on 15 Indians Residing in Japan. My appeal is for all Indians staying abroad. Every civilization has some good cultures that can be and should be practiced by whole world. Observe and learn the practice followed where you all are and then try to implement the same when you return to your hometown. We try to import materialistic goods from whole world, why not import cultures that can take our country to new levels of advancement.
