I use this platform to draw everyone's attention towards a gruesome practice of using electrocution & bleaching powder for fishing. I have heard that some people in Uttarkashi District of Uttarakhand are using these techniques for fishing. These techniques are dangerous for aquatic life many young fish are killed & eggs destroyed, thereby killing a whole new generation of fishes & poisoning the river. If not stopped, river will be deprived of fishes. Govt must take steps to check this practice.

Industrial effluents should be controlled by setting up suitable infrastructure under PPP model as many cottage industries flourishing on river banks, discharge their waste directly into the rivers & we cannot expect them to have their own water treatment and waste control system. Besides this steps should be taken to conserve the ecosystem on river banks. This can be easily done with planting suitable trees/shrubs/grass along river banks which will support better aquatic life in rivers.

Just the way Karsevaks were organised for Ayodhya. We must organise a huge army of karsevaks for cleaning the holy river If the state doesn't co-operate for political reasons & if there's is a case for gross inappropriations across on all matters of development.Section 356 can be invoked through a resolution discussed within the parliament If the two can't fall in line then one must go....arressted development is a strong case for Section 356 and it should be made exemplery

how it is possible to clean The river Ganga? Most of town or city in our country are situated near the bank of the river Ganga and the sewage waste generated in very large amount is directly send in ganga without treatment it polluted the ganga. So according to me the goverment shoud must be ban on disposal of sewage in ganga.

First we have to make a survey of the whole ganga from where it starts to where it ends. 1 The factories which add there waste material without filtering it must be give notice and even if they don`t hear they must be banned. 2 The state should not add sewage directly to it they should instal sewage treatment plants. plants

This is the worst allocation of funds. However, if it has to be done, then all the chemical factories should be moved to near seashore esp, in the areas where the land is not fertile. E.g. Rajasthan. Then with the use of modern equipments, Ganga has to be cleaned, but it will take decades of time. It's better to develop kashmir, himachal and uttranchal for tourism, by implementing strict construction rules and by rendering superior quality roads. Benchmark must be Switzerland. Ganga is doomed.

To Save all rivers in India, it is our prior need to clean these rivers. Also we can make some group of people in every village to clean the river. The Govt. should initiate this with surveying all the villages which are located on the the banks of rivers. NGO's and GO's can take part of it or help to Govt. officials at villages. Due to heavy pollution in water, all the rivers in the country became drainage carriers.

Please arrange to put containers at equal distance for people to put flowers and religious stuffs in it rather than them letting it flow directly in the river. This will help a large way to clean the ganga which is been polluted by the religious flowers and various stuffs to be flown in river

India as a country do not the have the proper water flow from it's beginning and till the end. Each year couple of states in India suffers with High Intensity of Flood where as Country we lost People, Resources and also there is huge impact on our Finances. If we wanted to save our rivers then we have to allow them flow down till the end and it will help us to develop our resources, income and ultimately as country we grow.
