The objective of the Group is to brainstorm and invite considered views of all stakeholders in Chemicals & Petrochemical sector that include polymers, plastics, synthetic rubber basic Chemicals, pesticide, dyes etc. The sector is touching the lives of each and every member of the society. This sector has tremendous potential of growth vis a vis the contribution of this sector in the world economy, especially in the manufacturing sector in developed countries. The sector also offers employment opportunities for a large population.

As the sector is already liberalized, which has also resulted in a rapid increase in imports, there is a need to review this situation and to promote domestic manufacturing by attracting large investments and providing facilitative policy regime. At the same time, sustainability and environment friendliness of the industries in this sector also has to be ensured as an initiative as part of ‘MAKE IN INDIA’ campaign of the new government.

Comments and views are invited from the stakeholder at large.

Sir, I represent a senior Management position in a private sector industry in Rajasthan. Recently I am greatly disturbed on the status of State Govt bureaucratic delays in State of Rajasthan. I am a BJP supporter, but the situation I observed during Congress rule was much better than what it prevails after BJP rule in Rajasthan. NA conversion has not been given after 2 years, while NOC not received after 12 months. Sir, Can there not be a system which gives clearance after a defined time? Pl help me.

Theory of Reality:The leaders in the beginning of 20th and 21st centuries have their Energy= Moral Values X Character(Square) where as after Independence we have been witnesses several pseudo Politicians whose Energy =Money X Corruption(square)

India has 277 Public Sectors(source bsepsu.com) out of which 79 are loss making(source first post). A committee should be formed to give recommendations for following: 1)convert loss making Public Sectors to profit making, and if not possible, sell off the Public Sector or its assets. 2)increase profits of profit making Public Sectors. Myself, working in a profit making Public Sector for last 30years(presently working as Assistant General Manager)would like to offer my services for same.

We after eliminating subsidy in higher education actually lost many good cheap Govt. institutions in the hand of private wealth making education industries. Now everyone having technical degree without proper knowledge thus we are developing youth which is useless for a competitiveness of Indian industry thus a headache for Indian Govt. to provide/search job to such poor knowledge youth produced by pvt. College and university.

contd. It should be noticed that foreign countries help and make due, undue pressure to other country by pitching for their private company growth. We should make a ministry which find market in foreign countries for Indian products. The ministry will also anticipate future changes regarding end use, habits in demand in other countries and guide accordingly to Indian industry on proactive basis. It is our bed luck that the quality of trained manpower is reducing but quantum of man power increased.
