Reasonable user charges are acceptable but they should not become a smoke screen for corruption and inefficiency. Public dissatisfaction with user charges is not just about their absolute value but also about the knowledge that these user charges pay for corruption and inefficiency. Increasing electricity and water charges BEFORE eliminating wastage and losses is not advisable.

user charges for government services are quasi taxes. if these are done without improvement in our tax regimes, there will be discontentment among people which should be avoided or at least done in steps. step 1 - identify services which are optional and can be hived off/corporatised/privatised. only these services need to be allowed to be substituted with user charges

Sir,Traffic police in Bangalore have not been paid with proper Daily Allowance for duties which they perform outside the city .This time during Dasara they were sent to Mysore on duty but have not been paid with enough DA. Distance between Mysore and B'lore is 70 kms . For 24 hours hectic duty they have been paid only Rs.100 DA. They have not been provided with basic facilities @duty place.Hope you will take this issue seriously & serve the interest of hardworking traffic police.Student,9Std

For that our political and governing systems should be strengthen.first we need root level clearance that means from local body we have to start. in every panchayath there should be a central government auditing person and he should coordinate all the panchayath level developments.this may be audited by CAG every quarterly basis.for that we should strengthen CAG department.

Every house hold needs to pay a house tax based on value ,area of property .This adds up to lots and lots if money if collected fairly and can be used fir development of cities ,,,as in developed counteries.
