In spite of providing facility for free immunization to the pregnant mothers, only 32.4% of ST mothers (lowest among all social groups) received advice about where to go if they experienced pregnancy complications.
1) What could be the reasons attributing to it?
2) What interventions would be required to achieve 100% coverage of immunisation of pregnant mothers amongst tribals?
3) What can be the role of various Ministries, agencies (of Government and Non-government) to achieve 100% coverage of immunisation.

We solicit some sharing of experiences and suggestions on the subject.

More details on the subject can be found here.

Illiteracy is the biggest taboo that relate to women not coming forward. Education- may it be adult or teaching to children may overcome this. Till that time create volunteers who can reach them and immunise them & telling that the complications it can overcome. The ministries may join hands and it should work on a PPP model. Enrol youth, young IAS to work amongst them. There are many IITians that may join you to teach the poorest of poor. The joint and concerted effort only can bring change.
