In spite of providing facility for free immunization to the pregnant mothers, only 32.4% of ST mothers (lowest among all social groups) received advice about where to go if they experienced pregnancy complications.
1) What could be the reasons attributing to it?
2) What interventions would be required to achieve 100% coverage of immunisation of pregnant mothers amongst tribals?
3) What can be the role of various Ministries, agencies (of Government and Non-government) to achieve 100% coverage of immunisation.

We solicit some sharing of experiences and suggestions on the subject.

More details on the subject can be found here.

Around 2006 had met a couple in Columbus, Ohio. They were carrying there 1 year baby and the man had a basket on his head with a sticker on it announcing child being born at home is safe. They had their first child delivered at home. You only need to be aware of how to go about it. Even in tribal belts of our country families believe child should be born at home. We must push this idea further with good dose of education and ensure we merge our modern medical inputs to the tradition.

ONE WORK ONE AGENCY principle is yet to be enforced by Modiji, despite his slogan of MINIMUM GOVERNMENT MAXIMUM GOVERNANCE. The main thrust of this work is health of mother and child, but the target is tribals. In such a situation, it should be done by min. of tribal welfare and concurrent schemes of min of health, min of women and child should be immediately withdrawn (transferred to tribal ministry) to save public money and to save from multiple agencies doing same work in un-coordinated ways.

Greatest constraints in achieving 100% immunization is lack of their education which make them not at all concerned of health hazards non-immunization can cause. Other reason being most of the time they be migrated from their homeland, and are very much likely to be skipped by Immunization team of new place. Immunization must be linked with Aadhar so that exact status of Immunization status can be traced and all we need is a biometric device for Immunization Team. Regards,

One most disastrous illness in children is MALNUTRITION ... India has been fighting against it since decades. Malnutrition makes children mentally and physically weak..hence a weaker Nation. I have invented a MUSHROOM based health drink powder of which we have taken Randomised control trials on around 700 malnourished children. We got positive results in >93% children. Our research received Most Excellent research award at International conference Singapore Sir,for your information..

The first thing is they must be Educated at least upto a level so that they can understand how health is important factor. If they understood it well then they can take quick decisions and act accordingly. I hope the situation will develop.
