Construction of New Roads : 4 Lane road from old MLA hostel traffic point towards Assam Rifle Helipad connecting AG and D-Khel through suspension bridge. D-Khel will connect with New Secretariat road using the existing circular road. Through AG Suspension, commuters can connect to Lerie or any Southern part of Kohima. This will ease the traffic in the main town within Kohima.

#Excellent planning, executing and monitoring of any coming up project. Be it solid waste management, electricity, water supply etc.
#Topnotch drainage system and concrete highways.
#Smart traffic system with well equipped traffic policemen for tackling any issues. We don't want to live in a stagnant traffic for hours.

Kohima my city to be Smart City. Here are some few suggestion towards building of Kohima smart city.
1. Shopping Mall can be build either by KMC or Govt. where revenue belongs to them.
2. If the City Bus are run only by NST or KMC with a certain time limit at each stop.
3. Robe Way or Metro Cable to ease of Traffic congestion and also add beauty to the city.
4. More installation of solar street light.

c) Ecological balance shoud be maintained. Where would we be without the greenary?
d) E-governance to be implemented by the Govt. the way it should be. Work culture should see a paradigm shift to avoid loss of time, money & energy to the common man. Digitisation in place, coupled with seamless connectivity can improve public utility services like registration of Births, Vehicles, Booking of LPG etc. Accountability should be fixed for improper delivery of paid services by those concerned.

For our Capital to be a Smart City (after roads, drainage, sanitation, waste disposal & water supply are taken care of):
a) Proper urban planning is the need of the hour. Pay & Use parking lots, Toilets & Internet Kiosks should be introduced not just for public convenience but to supplement income generation for the Govt. Deptt. concerned.
b) Effective Public Transport system to be put in place which may be the only means to ease traffic congestion & discourage the craze for personal cars.

*all the traffic police should go for a better training for at least one month outside nagaland.
*make the road more spacious where buildings are not yet constructed before its too late.
*well build drainage system.
*close vehicular movements for a day or couple of days in kohima and repair the roads properly without hurry.

For Kohima to be a Smart City, it should first get rid of Reservation. "One City One Rule" has to be implemented. If a rule prohibits construction of 3 storeyed buildings on Highways, it should apply to all. Reservation cannot be given to selected few. If a rule prohibits parking in a certain space, it should apply to all. Reservation cannot be given to VIP's. Reservation has less to do with BT and more to do with powerful people who seek special treatments.
