My views for building ('creating') a Smart City....
First of all, the people, in general, should be educated, be aware of the modern technologies, their uses. Importantly, the people should understand the values of our environment, both ecologically and modern technologically. The general populace should have the ethics of everything. Once, we the people become aware and smart, it would not be difficult to create a smart city
with a smart environment.

My Smart City Kohima should have :
1) proper drainage system especially along the highways and colony roads .
2) well connected Optic Fiber or Wireless Internet connectivity
3) come up with alternative routes to ease the over congested traffic ,i fully back the aerial ropeways mode as proposed by State Govt.
4) Colony Councils or Youth to manage waste ,roads and other infrastucture of that particular colony .
5) Govt.Departments to focus more on e-Governance platform .

my vision of a smart Kohima city would be:
1. top class sanitation especially solid waste management
2. building smart roads, in accordance with our terrain and climatic conditions. A separate lane for public buses.
3. setting up of self sustained sustainable energy plants: wind and solar.
4. easy public transportation: cable cars, toy trains and eco-friendly buses.
5. proper rain water harvesting system for year round water supply.

My suggestions for kohima smart city would be as follows:
1. To have well maintained pay and use toilets at various locations.
2. To strictly ban old polluting vehicles from plying in the town.
3. To create infrastructure for local vendors who sell produce on footpaths.
4. To utilise a portion of local ground i.e the east sidefor parking

According to me, for a smart city, one important thing which is needed at this age of technology, is proper network system, where there is no trouble in connecting through phones or other means. Next is the internet: By internet i meant, solid internet speed.
Also proper drainage system, proper waste-bin in and around the city.
Last but not the least, proper education to all people about civic sense and cleanliness.
