1-For Traffic woes, it will serve us much better if we construct new roads instead of repairing old ones. New roads should come in the form of huge flyovers which can be double decked, above the present roads running along the heart of kohima. The roads below can be used for the movement of pedestrians, cyclists & even marketing complexes can be built to usher to the needs of local vendors thereby promoting the economy as well as encouraging more entrepreneurship.

Smart traffic.Fine, impound improper parked cars.Use IT,build record system.

Smart choices for a smart city.
Solar street lights. Solar powered houses to reduce pollution.
Rain water harvesting should be encouraged to meet water problems.
Improved drainage. Deep enough for repair work without disturbing traffic flow. Side wall of drainage can be used for pipelines and cables to reduce the clutter.
Traffic regulation. Only public transport zone during peak hours. High taxes for private vehicle. Govt vehicle also should be taxed if official is not in vehicle.
