To address the growing concerns in the present Accreditation and Ranking systems of the Government of India had constituted a High-Level Committee. This Committee considered the introduction of strategic reforms consistent with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and the need for adopting a simple, trust-based, objective and rationalized system for approval, accreditation and ranking of Higher Educational Institutions with a verifiable and secured centralised database through technology-driven modern systems. Methodologies for facilitating Ease of Doing Business for the stakeholders, duly facilitating students in making more informed choices for selection of institutions/ programmes were also considered by the Committee.

After a series of deliberations, a High-Level Committee has submitted its draft Report on ‘Transformative Reforms for Strengthening Periodic Assessment and Accreditation of All Higher Educational Institutions in India’ to the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

In light of this, MyGov, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, seeks feedback and suggestions from all the stakeholders for the finalisation of the report.

This report has now been placed in the public domain until June 22, 2023.

Today, we are moving toward MCQ and short answer type Questions. Longer Questions has lost it's credibility hence we need strengthening of the periodic assessment and accreditation of all higher educational Institutions.

Well instead of so competitive exams keep the education system simple way..Basic education that is compulsory... Intermediate education for enhancing the lifestyle & values...Advanced education for improvising the longer sustainability in career growth, stability, the duty to pay back to society & country...Loyalty should be there in terms of learning by students & teaching by trainers. When the business mind comes here, then the service will mislead. Need to go back to the basics ancient education system, learning through nature, with nature, for nature. Be strong physically & mentally, be sensible, be honest, be supportive, be understanding, be sacrificed, be reasonable for family, and society, and be proud of ideology, for me that is true of education. If add Sankrit in education lots of things can be re-readable, researchable, and clarity will come in education.

Here are some suggestions for reforms that can strengthen the periodic assessment and accreditation of all higher educational institutions: 1. Comprehensive Evaluation Framework: Develop a comprehensive evaluation framework that incorporates multiple dimensions of institutional performance, including teaching quality, research output, student learning outcomes, infrastructure, governance, industry collaboration, and community engagement. 2. Outcome-Based Assessment: Shift towards an outcome-based assessment system that focuses on measuring the actual learning outcomes and competencies acquired by students, rather than relying solely on traditional examination-based evaluations. This can be achieved through a combination of continuous assessment methods, project work, internships, and industry collaborations. 3. Emphasis on Research and Innovation: Give significant weightage to research and innovation while evaluating higher educational institutions. Encourage universities

Students studying in premier govt funded universities like IITs, NITs and IIScs should be made mandatorily to serve/work in India for few years atleast and should be a awarded degree of completion after that.. All these institutions are funded by the tax payers money, there is no return of investment for India if the cream of the students leave our country, wasting the time & resources spent on them and contribute to the growth of other foreign countries

I think the Government should more focus on practical application of the policy rather than just theoritical deliberation suppose for example we talk about the concept of self earning and developing skills but the government and universities do nothing about it and even if they do the benefits were not actually received to the ground level

we should include digital studies also as for children it's stressful to read from a written book with some pictures but they should also see animated video to understand more practice more and more so that can go deep and understand more as action speak more than words
