To address the growing concerns in the present Accreditation and Ranking systems of the Government of India had constituted a High-Level Committee. This Committee considered the introduction of strategic reforms consistent with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and the need for adopting a simple, trust-based, objective and rationalized system for approval, accreditation and ranking of Higher Educational Institutions with a verifiable and secured centralised database through technology-driven modern systems. Methodologies for facilitating Ease of Doing Business for the stakeholders, duly facilitating students in making more informed choices for selection of institutions/ programmes were also considered by the Committee.

After a series of deliberations, a High-Level Committee has submitted its draft Report on ‘Transformative Reforms for Strengthening Periodic Assessment and Accreditation of All Higher Educational Institutions in India’ to the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

In light of this, MyGov, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, seeks feedback and suggestions from all the stakeholders for the finalisation of the report.

This report has now been placed in the public domain until June 22, 2023.

There must be a periodic assesment system of teachers not only by the institutions but also by students who are currently getting education ,from students who have passed out .Valuable suggestions may be invited by the students who were the part of that institute so that I may add the value.Visit from corporate and industries and research institutes should be organised time to time to asses the students ,the young minds should be involved in every aspects.

Namaskar, There must be periodic training of teachers and principals of higher education institutes regarding how to enhance quality education in the institutions, how to increase their soft skills, interpersonal skills etc. etc. there must be dedicated IQAC team in every institution whose only job is to ensure the quality of the education in the institute. The IQAC team must be relaxed from other assignments of the institution. I think with these small changes we can strengthening the Periodic Assessment and Accreditation of All Higher Educational Institutions. with kind regards Dr. Vishal Sharma

I think there should be an unified education system where all children (poor to rich) should get the same standard of education under single board. Education is our birth right and entire children education should be made free. Education should be made available free of cost to all children so that they can learn and grow without any financial barrier. These children after getting good education will contribute positively for building our Nation and be a part in our Nation's progress.

In my college, during NAAC accreditation, the college authorities behaved very differently than they would usually behave to impress the authorities coming. Moreover, the authorities too came and did a quick check talking with only the professors of higher ranks and did not interact with the student or other faculties. They asked for some files, checked them and went. Based on my personal experience I would suggest that surprise inspections be made in colleges and if possible in disguise to assess the true quality of the college. Being from an English medium college a lot of the engineering subjects were taught in the native language. Though it makes it easier to understand, a lot of students had poor communication skills in English and a lack of confidence in speaking in English. Given the rise in globalisation and unemployment of engineers in our country, it is essential to check and ensure that the colleges provide all the claims they put forth in brochures while seeking admissions.

Proud to be born n living a good n honourable life under your reign. My request is after studying from high ranking institutions like IITs , students are not getting jobs. Some encouragement should be there otherwise these institutions will lose theire luster. Jaind, Jai Bharat.
