To address the growing concerns in the present Accreditation and Ranking systems of the Government of India had constituted a High-Level Committee. This Committee considered the introduction of strategic reforms consistent with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and the need for adopting a simple, trust-based, objective and rationalized system for approval, accreditation and ranking of Higher Educational Institutions with a verifiable and secured centralised database through technology-driven modern systems. Methodologies for facilitating Ease of Doing Business for the stakeholders, duly facilitating students in making more informed choices for selection of institutions/ programmes were also considered by the Committee.

After a series of deliberations, a High-Level Committee has submitted its draft Report on ‘Transformative Reforms for Strengthening Periodic Assessment and Accreditation of All Higher Educational Institutions in India’ to the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

In light of this, MyGov, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, seeks feedback and suggestions from all the stakeholders for the finalisation of the report.

This report has now been placed in the public domain until June 22, 2023.

The Indian Education System carries the heritage of learning and values. The contribution factor of periodic internal assessments is less than half of the external final assessment. Unlike the pattern of internal 30% & 70% weight age of final assessment so my submission is the CCA / internal periodic assessment should carry 60-70 % and final to 30-40 %

The curriculum should be based on more practical and industrial knowledge. The students should be examined based on their understanding and implementation of knowledge than judged based on exams and numbers. The learning should be tested by projects, assessments, and dissertations/ research.

We the students of India. Urge the concerned government's i.e., UNION and the state govts. to look into the matters of examination fee for the various exams should be withdrawn with immediate effect. As we do not earn a single rupee while studying then how can you people charge money from us..kindly allocate whatever amount required to conduct an examination through the Budget.Students are not in a position to earn.

Respected Sir/Madam, Since imparting higher education does not mean providing some superficial knowledge of higher grade, their accredation should be linked with their ability to add worthy technical, financial, business, medical and agricultural experts among others to the national kitty on recurring basis. Mere fact that any such institution enjoys the blessings of some political big-wig or any renowned business tycoon should not be 'auto-eligible' for granting accredation thereto. Merit alone should be the key watch word.
