the inflation and will bring control to the price rise in the market as the grains will be available with the people as per their requirements and there won't be a condition of shortage of supply or surplus of demand. it will strengthen the hands of the poor people as well as it will also fetch funds to the govt for purchasing of new crops and will also provide space for the storage of the same as it will instantly reduce the storage load on the godowns.

must be distributed to the ration card holders in an organised way. the ration card holders may be given an option to purchase the complete grains for the year or as per their capacity, as ultimately the grains had to be distributed to the people. and as they have the capacity to store the required grains by them it will reduce the storage loads on the govt and also it will reduce the cost in an effective way. it has also the other benefits. as it will increase the food security and also reduce

sir as we all know the main problem with the current FCI program is the storage capacity and protection. as the current population of india is 125 crores and an average houses of 30- 40 crores if instead of storing grains at big FCI godowns we can distribute the same to the 30 crore houses approx for its storage and protection the govt can effectively reduce the storage cost. and the crops can be better protected in effective way. before every new crop is brought to the godowns the old crops

Following points need to be addressed while restructuring:
1 All FCI depots must be interconnected and online, 2. The authority can see the stock and in-out movement at any time. 3. All Sales shops (Dindayal bhandars) must also be connected in the network and their sales and stock can be checked at any time by the Authority. 4. All FCI depots must be re-erected scientifically & technically so that food is stored in good condition for long time.

i think the purchasing for paddy is done by government. govt has to purchase wooden crates from suppliers so that paddy can secured like that of wheat there should be tenders of purchasing of wooden crates in paddy season

1. Install an ERP system to keep track of grain inventory across FCI warehouse including the date at which stock was procured. This will also ensure first in first out movement of grains and prevent rotting. Again, this will allow rebalancing of stock between different warehouses.
2. Remove food movement barriers across states.
3. Stop focus on only wheat / rice. Include variety of grains including pulses and if possible build cold storage on FCI land to store stable vegetables like potatoes.
