The Govt. of India has set-up a High Level Committee (HLC) of experienced persons and experts under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Shri Shanta Kumar, to recommend restructuring of Food Corporation of India (FCI) with a view to improving its operational efficiencies and financial management.

The constitution of the High Level Committee by the Government of India and its terms of reference are placed in the public domain at FCI website: www.fciweb.nic.in  

General Public and stake-holders including professionals, academicians, scientists, NGOs/institutions, self-help groups, co-operatives, farmer bodies/associations, rice/ flour millers, handling & transport contractors, government bodies etc. in the field of food management, agriculture, storage, warehousing, supply chain and logistics etc. are hereby solicited to send their suggestions on restructuring of the Food Corporation of India.

Suggestions are also invited to reorient the role of FCI in Minimum Support Price operations, storage and distribution of foodgrains and food security systems of the country.

Views may also be given with regard to integration of supply chain of foodgrains in the country, suggesting most efficient model for storage and least cost option of moving grains alongwith tracking of carriage. Views on
models of scientific storage and upgradation of technology in management of foodgrains are also welcome.

If we want a neat and clean India, then there is only one power shot that will change all mind set of people, punish all corrupted human beings. And sent to jail if any one who throw waste material on road, river, seewage water line etc. Only for 2 hour. This will make a change.

Sir we really need a leave on 2nd oct. As you know we have continuous holidays so max of the gov employees who are working out of their state or cities have planned for a long vacation.So everything will be spoiled if we are cancelling it now.please take it for consideration. thank you

Made in India is a common word. What about made in home. If only we could get our hands on cheap equipments to generate power at our home we can really begin to learn the meaning of self sustainability.

First of all we have Poor storage system, we should focus on high-tech storage. We need Funds for that, and of course alone Gov can not bear that, So Why Not PPP model or FDI in this sector. We cant allow FDI in retail but for High-Tech Storage and for Better Supply chain we should allow FDI.

First of all FCI should be able to well conditional storage of food grains and maintain a clean environment and compound of FCI Papers should be up to date storage and distribution details should be fare there is the great corruption in the process of FCI.Farmers are also facing very troubles in purcasing of their grains due to less space of storage .There is no maintainance in FCIs .

FCI must be decentralised. It should be developed with the help and expertise of State Bank of India, India Post and Indian Railways. 1) SBI will maintain food collection and distribution data, create a food account for citizens and issue Food Card for withdrawl of food through Food ATM...2) India Post will help set up structured reach and logistics. 3) Railways will help setup food malls at railway stations Bus stations and in every ward and also transfer food from one part of country to anothr
