India Enterprise Architecture (IndEA) Framework along with its Adoption Guide were developed and released in December, 2018. The vision of IndEA is “to establish best-in-class architectural governance, processes and practices with optimal utilization of ICT infrastructure and applications to offer ONE Government experience to the citizens and businesses”.

During implementation of IndEA as well as in the light of advancement of technology, a need was felt to revise the IndEA document and accordingly, after multiple rounds of meetings and detailed deliberations, draft InDEA 2.0 document has been formulated (report given below). India Digital Ecosystem Architecture (InDEA) 2.0 harmonizes and builds upon the architectural frameworks developed during the last few years. While codifying their principles, it provides a pragmatic approach to realize the concept of open digital ecosystems in an integrated and collaborative manner. It recommends a value-driven approach, a focus on capability building and above all, a preference to ‘enabling’ rather than ‘building’. It is an evolving and dynamic framework with continuous improvement as its mantra. The InDEA 2.0 framework enables establishing such a right balance in all the ongoing architectural initiatives and accelerates the realization of the vision of Digital India.

In the light of the above facts, it is requested to kindly review the document and provide your valuable comments/feedback on the draft InDEA 2.0 document latest by February 27, 2022

this idea of IndEA is very nice that India going to become digital Ecosystem ... but one think you know that until now the paperwork that's need in small small works is really disturbing and very long & lengthy process , as take an example of when people need their caste certificate or validity he needs to collect so many documents , it needs so many paperwork them after submit them in different offices some officers takes money for work don't do work fast ... In all these processes a common man really get tensed , so I think that starting of digital Ecosystem will be being from these situation by reducing these paperwork ...

Reactive measures also equally important in any management system. We are aware that incident investigation comes out with preliminary causes, root causes, recommendations in the form of corrective and preventive actions with a target date and responsibility for compliance to avoid recurrence or occurrences of the incidents. We must ensure dissemination(lessons learnt ) of this information to all concerned. Risk level of incident shall be assessed, if the risk level is high we must take quick action to avoid further damages. The implementation of corrective and Preventive action points shall be tracked /monitored and closed after its compliance. Incidents like economic scams, failure /collapse of systems, major emergency incidents, countries reputation damaging incidents, security lapse incidents, spike in inflation, etc...., shall be captured for investigation. Example : Formation of Slum. Which is system failure, so we must capture for investigation.

It's a good initiative by Ministry of Electronics & IT. I read the the characteristics of InDEA, which are: "- InDEA is applicable more to ecosystems than to systems. - InDEA offers a set of architectural patterns but not an architecture. - InDEA prefers enabling to building. - InDEA is agile and evolving, and not rigid and inflexible. - InDEA is unifying and does not force uniformity" I think that InDEA 2.0 would lead to the development of next generation digital systems for the benefit of citizens.
