Under Section 3 (3) of the Electricity Act, 2003, the Central Government may, from time to time, in consultation with the State Governments and the Central Electricity Authority, review or revise, the National Electricity Policy. In compliance of section 3 of the Electricity Act 2003, the Government of India had notified the National Electricity Policy on 12th February 2005.

2. According to Section 66 of the Electricity Act “the Appropriate Commission shall endeavor to promote the development of a market (including trading) in power in such manner as may be specified and shall be guided by the National Electricity Policy”.

3. The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) and State Electricity Regulatory Commissions (SERCs), in the discharge of their functions, shall be guided by the National Electricity Policy under Section 79 and Section 86 of the Electricity Act, respectively.

4. In this regard, it is informed that the Ministry of Power vide Order dated 12.04.2021 has constituted an Expert Committee under the chairmanship of Shri Gireesh Pradhan, Ex-Chairperson, CERC to prepare and recommend National Electricity Policy (NEP), 2021 (copy enclosed). The Expert Committee is required to submit its suggested draft NEP 2021 within two months.

5. The National Electricity Policy, 2021 needs to play an important role in deciding the future of the power sector with renewed reform measures for the economic growth of the country. The main focus is expected to be on decarbonization, power market development, distributed generation in view of rooftop solar and other reliable new technology, etc. The policy may be consumer centric i.e., giving choice to consumers, better services, reliable and quality power, etc. Security of supply, cybersecurity, resilience in the power sector in view of the disasters management, securing supply to all consumers but in particular, all the essential loads in the event of any crisis, etc. are others areas of importance.

6. The suggestions of the various stakeholders including State Governments, Financial Institutions, Industries, consumers, etc. are very important for the future of the power sector. It is requested to submit your brief suggestions along with the suggested specific formulations, which you feel that need to be incorporated in the NEP 2021, in around 1000 words on the MyGov portal.

discom के द्वारा "same rate one nation" या गाॅव व शहरो के हिसाब से two rate system बनाने की जरूरत है,billing मे बहुत ही समस्या होती है,छोटी छोटी grid बनाने की जरूरत है,underground wiring की जरूरत है shock से जीव- जन्तुओ को बचाया जा सके,biofuel,biomass electrity पे focus करने की जरूरत,हर घर बिजली तो पहुच गयी लेकिन गरीब और पिछडो कुछ अलग सुविधा देने की जरूरत है, संरचनाओ मे दूर गामी विकास की जरूरत है

Electricity is a major needs for development. Green electricity is needed for safety purposes. Solar electricity is good, Sugarcane raw material like molasses gas, bugged etc.. Production of electric more important subject is Environment safety. Covid time more valuable is good air. So when we production of electricity that time does not produce pollution. Oxygen is our main focus, so green electricity system are good for Environment and social health. Green electricity is good us.

The draft also talks about an intra-state level cost-sharing mechanism to address issues concerning the flow of power from states where intermittent renewable sources of energy are concentrated. Power from these states is transmitted to other states, and the former is left to bear the variability of generation.

Stakeholders such as Central Public Sector Undertakings, Solar Energy Corporation of India, power transmission companies, financial institutions like Reserve Bank of India, Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, industrial, solar, and wind associations, and state governments, have to present their suggestions to the expert committee between May 11 and May 15, 2021.

National Electricity Policy should focus on electrification of semi urban and rural areas for 24X7. A grid system should be developed to fulfill this aim.

Respected Modi Ji All residential complexes must have a designated area with primary medical facility so Hospital beds are available only for critical cases. Today Hospitals are overcrowded by panic struck population who can be provided relief at their own home or at such areas mentioned above. Without such facility the Occupation Certificate must not be given. To maintain quality,these facilities must be inspected regularly. This is also for generating lacs of Jobs.Milind Sardessai

electricity की समस्या पिछले समय से काफी बदलवा हुए है लेकिन अभी भी कुछ बदलाव करनी जरूरी है, hybrid grid system develop होने चाहिए renewable और non renewable को जोड के ये system develop हो ताकि climate change को ध्यान मे रखते हुए clean energy का प्रयोग बढे। smart meter हर घर पहुचे,e-ebill concept improve हो, electricity conservation पर जानकारीयाॅ लोगो तक पहुचना जरूरी हो,उपभोक्ता की समस्या को single window system से दूर हो,emergency no.regulation को उपभोक्ता समस्या 24×7 आधार पर सुधार हो,bill को
