MSME can set food processing units near villages for consumable agriculture production. Due to changes in life style, there is good demand for ready to eat products in market. These processing units can not only help in farmers selling their produce nearby thus saving transportation cost but may also relieve them of worries of uncertainties in finding market for their produce. They can even have an agreement with the companies beforehand.

Existing technological resources can be pooled at village level so that small and medium size farmers can avail the benefit of these. For example every farmer need not invest in buying tractor or other costly machinery used in farming. It is not just buying but he has to invest in maintaining such gadgets. These can be made available at panchayat level or some cooperative organization. Farmers can pay according to size of farm and avail the facilities.

Science and technology can be used to give correct long term weather forecast before the sowing season starts. It can save farmers labour in preparation of farms and seeds. Many times farmers sow the seeds after the first rains but subsequently the rain fails. It results in wastage of labour and seeds. But if the weather forecast is available, farmers will make preparations for ups and downs in rains pattern and save themselves from the huge losses.

One of the biggest challenge is to maintain the viability of agricultural sector. Despite many technological advances and government supports in providing subsidies in inputs and in MSP, farmers always complain of losses. It is because when there is bumper crop, there are no takers. MSME can create chain of local storages of produce to save farmers from throwing away the produce. Farmers can hold the crop and sell the produce later when the prices in open market are stabilized
