Inviting Ideas for Mann Ki Baat by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 27th September 2026

Namaskar Modi Ji. I deeply wish to see India known globally not only for its culture and progress, but also for cleanliness and civic responsibility. I appreciate the work already done through Swachh Bharat. My humble suggestion is to make citizen-led cleanliness a permanent annual national tradition: “One Hour for Bharat.” On one fixed morning every year, citizens, schools, offices, housing societies and local representatives could dedicate one hour to cleaning their surroundings. The purpose should be more than cleaning for one day it should create a mindset that “This is my country, my street and my responsibility.” We saw during COVID how a simple national call could unite millions. I believe a similar annual call from you could gradually make cleanliness part of our culture and inspire future generations. Jai Hind.
