Respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, I would like to share a thought for Mann Ki Baat. Across India, young people are taking responsibility for their communities—cleaning garbage, protecting rivers, rescuing and caring for animals, and helping people in need, often with limited resources. This is inspiring, but it raises an important question: If citizens can take such initiatives, why can't municipal bodies do the same with dedicated budgets and public funds? We pay taxes expecting civic services to be delivered effectively. Citizen participation should complement government efforts, not replace the responsibilities of civic authorities. India needs responsible citizens and accountable institutions. A clean India should be a shared responsibility, but government institutions must lead by example. I hope Mann Ki Baat can highlight India's youth while encouraging greater accountability in municipal bodies. Jai Hind.

Respected Prime Minister Sir, Whenever a minister or senior official visits a city, roads along their route are cleaned, repaired, painted and decorated overnight. This proves that the administration can work quickly, but why should such development happen only during official visits? Cities should remain clean and safe every day. I am a resident of Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna. During the rainy season, poor drainage and uncleaned drains cause severe waterlogging. Hidden potholes make travelling dangerous. As a college student, I sometimes cannot travel by scooter, and even e-rickshaw drivers refuse to use flooded roads. I request regular drain cleaning, proper rainwater drainage, timely road repairs and accountable monitoring in Mathura and other cities. Citizens should not have to wait for an official visit to receive basic civic services.
