Cases involving children and unmarried young people should be disposed of within one year, as prolonged delays can have serious and lasting effects on their emotional well-being, education, career, and future.

Please provide a spacious and larger ladies’ compartment on all trains, including superfast trains in all states in India This would be especially helpful for women travelling with children, young women, elderly passengers, and others, while also providing them with greater comfort and safety during the journey.

Today, I am writing to you on a very serious issue concerning the health and well-being of school-going children. My daughter has been continuously telling me, “Baba, please ask Narendra Modi Ji to reduce the weight of school bags.” Her words made me personally check the actual weight of her school bag. Today, I weighed the school bag, textbooks/notebooks and water bottle, excluding the tiffin box, and the total weight was approximately 5.397 kg. School Bag – 1.034 kgWater Bottle – 0.554 kg Books/Notebooks – 3.809 kgTotal – 5.397 kg This is an extremely heavy load for a 6th-standard student to carry every day. We must seriously consider how children can concentrate on their studies after carrying such a burden to and from school every day. Excessive school-bag weight may contribute to back, neck and shoulder strain, poor posture, fatigue and other health concerns among children. Our children should carry knowledge, not an excessive physical burden. I sincerely request your int

Respected Sir, I would like to share a concern regarding the use of religious images, sacred figures and symbols on commercial product packaging. Many everyday products use such images with positive intentions. However, after use, the packaging becomes waste and may end up in dustbins, on roadsides, in drains or mixed with garbage. This can cause discomfort to people who consider these images and symbols sacred and worthy of respect. I respectfully suggest that suitable guidelines or awareness measures be considered to encourage manufacturers to avoid using religiously revered images and symbols on disposable packaging and instead use alternative logos or designs. This suggestion is not directed against any particular religion or community. It is intended to promote equal respect for all religious traditions while considering the practical reality of waste disposal. Thank you for giving citizens an opportunity to share their views.

Honourable Prime Minister I appreciate the Governments recent initiatives regarding labour rules particularly those related to working hours and salary payment schedules These are positive steps towards improving worker welfare I would like to highlight the challenges faced by working women who have responsibilities such as childcare household management and care of elderly family members Their responsibilities continue even after office hours and balancing work and family can be difficult I respectfully request the Government to consider a separate provision for working women such as reduced working hours or flexible working hours wherever feasible Similar consideration to the existing 33 percent reservation for women could help create a more supportive working environment Such a provision would help women maintain a better work life balance spend more time with their families and contribute more effectively to society I kindly request suitable amendments to labour guidelines

We respectfully request the Hon’ble PM Sir to consider featuring Trilochan Netralaya, the eye-care initiative of Vision India Foundation, Sambalpur, Odisha, in a future episode of Mann Ki Baat. Founded in 2008 by eye-surgeon Dr. Shiva Prasad Sahoo, with his wife Dr. Sindhunandini Sahoo, family and a dedicated team, it has grown from eight people into six hospitals, 16 vision centres and four educational institutions across 13 districts, including tribal areas. With nearly 85% services free, it has reached 1.76 crore+ people, performed 1.77 lakh+ free cataract surgeries and over 2 lakh surgeries overall. Beyond restoring sight, it empowers rural and tribal girls through science, vocational and optometry education, creating pathways to skills, employment and self-reliance. We believe this inspiring journey exemplifies Seva, Nari Shakti, Jan Bhagidari and inclusive development, and can inspire millions across India. We humbly request its inclusion in Mann Ki Baat.

As someone who has grown up caring deeply about animals, it genuinely breaks my heart to see their pain treated as if it doesn’t matter simply because they cannot speak. What hurts even more is knowing that there are people who face harassment and sexual violence and still struggle to be heard or believed. I feel the government must ensure that every complaint is taken seriously, investigations are timely, laws are enforced, and survivors have safe, accessible ways to seek justice. For animals, stronger action against cruelty, better support for shelters and rescue organisations, and simple reporting systems are equally important. Schools should also teach empathy, consent, respect and responsibility from an early age. I ask the Government to act & not just listen. Protect the vulnerable, punish cruelty, and ensure that no human or animal is left voiceless, helpless, or unheard.

I grew up believing small savings yield immense societal benefits. Seeking to validate this, I habitually switch off workplace lights when leaving. Ironically, this was often questioned, because in government institutions, leaving lights and fans running typically signals one’s presence on campus. Thus, I modelled four national scenarios for government institutions to quantify the potential energy and financial savings of breaking this habit. Based on the assumption, that roughly 3 out of the 8 hours our lights currently run each day are unnecessary (daylight hours, unoccupied rooms, common areas left on) ,this single habit change could save approximately: i) ₹7–12 lakh per year at a single university campus of about 1,000 rooms ii) ₹2.9–5.1 crore per year across Delhi's residential universities ii) ₹19–32 crore per year if scaled across government universities in India This is a 37.5% reduction in our lighting-related electricity cost achieved without any capital investment

On 7 November 2020, in Bengaluru, I, Aniruddha Jatkar (अनिरुद्ध जतकर), noticed uncollected garbage near my home. I clicked a few photographs and shared them on social media. The area was cleaned immediately. That showed me the power of responsible citizenship and inspired me. I started a campaign called ‘स्वच्छतेगागी नानू सहभागी’ - I Too Participate in Cleanliness. Through live videos and social media posts, I began highlighting garbage dumps and civic issues across Bengaluru and other parts of Karnataka. What started as an individual effort gradually became a collective movement, with many citizens joining in and amplifying its impact. Since then, I have consistently raised civic concerns and promoted public awareness through more than 750 social media posts. These efforts have brought local issues to the attention of both citizens and authorities, helped solve numerous civic problems, and encouraged greater public participation.
