There was a talk in TED regarding the cleaning of ocean by Mr. Boyan Slat (if I am not wrong). It is a very good one to look into it.If it works out, initially, we can start with that and following we have to initiate the swatch bharat program with including of localites as well as visitors on a particular day so that they also feel important in this mission. This mission is a very great one and this needs public involvement. We can see success if we make the public as partners in this program.

Make the Indian population join in removing the garbage and to burn it. People should understand its difficulty and importance and it can be made only by contributing physically. This will help the work to get quicker than easier. It will bring better awareness. PM should call people of India to serve in cleaning the Ganges. Only food and just tent to be provided for volunteer to stay and work. Let them work in team and in shift. I am sure withing a year basic cleanliness will be sorted.

I belong to a place where I have seen people treating ganga as a place for dumping, cleaning and washing. My suggestion is to build toliets near ghats and also place dustbins near ghats and encourage people to use them rather than dumping waste here there.

There should be a water treatment plant so that the wastes tgat are dumped get recycled ♻ and the river is clear. Like the "murtis" of lords that are drowned in the river are mainly made of plaster of paris so a treatment plant would be the best way to keep our cultural river clean.

CLEANING GANGA REQUIRES 2 LAC CRORES FOR PROPER CLEANING AND MAINTENENCE, AND FULL 100% SUSTAINED EFFORT FOR NEXT 20 YEARS, THAT TOO WHEN U HAVE BLUE PRINT WITH ROAD MAP READY, FOR LAST 1 YEAR WE ARE JUST TALKING NOTHING IS HAPPENING ON THE GROUND. GOVT. IS UNABLE TO PASS SIMPLE LAWS FOR PLASTIC BAN, NO THROWING OF GARBAGE IN PUBLIC PLACE, TREATMENT PLANTS POLICY FOR CHEMICALS, NOTHING.

THERE IS SOMETHING DEFINITELY WRONG WITH OUR ECONOMICS HOW CAN U SPEND Rs 10 WHEN YOUR EARNING IS 50 PAISE. GOVT. HOULD EXPLAIN AS TO HOW THEY ARE NOT CLOSING 62 SICK PSU'S. HOW CAN THEY BEAR LOSSS OF 50K CRORES ON AIR INDIA.WHY THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO GET THE NPA'S OF PSU BANKS DOWN. GOVT. WANTS US TO BORROW MONEY AT 10-14 % AND THEY THEMSELVES WANT TO BORROW MONEY FROM OTHER COUNTRIES OR WORLD BANK AT 2% . THAT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. RBI SHOULD BE ABOLISHED , NO MONITORING OF BANKS IS DONE.

PLAN AND TECHNOLOGY IS ON THE SHELF, U NEED TO BUY AND IMPLEMENT IT ON THE GROUND, THERE IS NO WILL POWER WITH THE GOVT., I JUST WONDER WHERE ALL THE TAX COLLETION OF THE GOVT. EVAPORATES, WE ARE ALWAYS SHORT OF MONEY FOR EVERY THING, I JUST THINK HOWCHINA IS ABLE TO INVEST SO MUCH MONEY ON INFRA EVEN IN REMOTE LOCATIONS LIKE TIBET, AKSIA CHIN, ARUNACHAL PRADESH BORDERS, SRI LANKA, BANGLADESH, PAKISTAN ETC. WE ARE STRUGGLING FOR ROADS, WATER, ELECTRICITY, EDUCATION, FOOD FOR LAST 65 YEARS

CORRUPTION. That's the major issue. How to implement the Pollution Norms for the industries which are polluting Ganga? Suddenly these Industrialists are not going to become honest and stop flaunting the laws.
