treatment of waste disposals of all those leather factories is must.Though there are some plant who treat their waste disposal but its not enough.Secondly all the sacred rituals which is been performed at basin should be checked thoroughly.I mean there should be a defined place where all the rituals could take place and that water should not get exposed to the river. The gutters which are directly open to the river should be checked. The waste materials can used to produce methane if treated well.

Rainy season shall be there in next four months. Could govt start an exhaustive program on rain water harvesting and contribute a public municipal corporation venture to have RWH pits in every park in all cities to avoid dependence on river water> I would suggest this to be implemented atleast in 200 towns & cities in one go. It will not only save water but also show governments dedication towards water for all and environment friendly approach.

The main cause which leads to the pollution of Ganga is cremation and industries developed all along its banks. One way to reduce pollution is by promoting electric crematorium. Secondly a man made canal diverting the Ganga to the hinterland where crematoriums could be built to light the pyres in the traditional way and to immerse the ashes into the river. This water however has to be filtered before it is released back into the main river. Further lots of waste treatment plants to be built

If you organised a river cleaning competition among all the districts which are near to river GANGA for a limited period and also winner should win a precious prize.. I think it is a big step and it takes less time for clean GANGA .. Thank You ..(y)
