River length can be divided in segments as per district. To keep cleaning of that part,it should be collective responsibility of Gov agency i.e monitoring , maintenance etc. and citizen of that district. If pollution increase in that particular place than in that case Gov can force to impose regulation in that place i.e stoppage of complete industry so that citizen themselves ask the polluting unit to take care corrective measurements. Thus the people can be make responsible and participatory.

Immediately steps should be taken to remove and not to allow solid waste be thorn in the river. Specially the size of idols of Gods for immersion in festivals should not be allowed more than 2 feet.

India missed forestry profession in 1960s-70s. And since that time with declining soil fertility, 50% of agricultural tract has been undergoing intensive farming with insecticide application. We are late enough, but still it would be appropriate if students learn traditional (organic) farming science and forestry updating techniques.

Sir, It is very difficult and impossible to stop mixing of polluted water with main stream of river. To avoid this, we can built walls both side of rivers in city area,(it like two polluted nalas parallel to river on both side) so that polluted water can be treated before mixing with main river water. This also help us to monitor the water quality. This may not be possible at all places , still it can do lot of damage control.

There has been no visible action by the GoI so far. If Ganges is to be cleaned in the next 3 years - before the expiry of the term of the Government, concrete action has to be taken. Merely having action plans is not enough. The Govt. can enact a legislation banning all industries on the river-side that do not treat their waste. The Factory Inspectors under the Factory Act, or some member of the Allied Services (who report to the GoI)can be made resposible, so that GoI can keep an eye.

Dear Mr. Prime Minister, I am a NET aspirant. For the past few years NET is being conducted in an MCQ format. Sir, I believe that since NET is going to select TEACHERS for HIGHER EDUCATION so it would be good if PAPER-3 is conducted in a SUBJECTIVE MANNER as it will help test the analytical power of the aspirants. Sir, please think over it because the present format has become like a T20 CRICKET MATCH. With warm regards Satraajit (Silchar, Assam)

Tourism is like low hanging fruits and can immediately increase employment numbers among youth. As people are getting restless about inaction by govt , please at least initiate some tangible schemes without any loss of time. Also please declare the list of planned smart cities as Govt has taken enough time in finalising it. One wonders if deciding the names is taking so much how many years implementation is going to take. On ground no stuck up road project has started. Need is to speed up.
