During this month's 'Mann Ki Baat' programme the Prime Minister will share his 'Mann Ki Baat' with youngsters appearing for the various board examinations and competitive exams. ...

During this month's 'Mann Ki Baat' programme the Prime Minister will share his 'Mann Ki Baat' with youngsters appearing for the various board examinations and competitive exams.

The Prime Minister invites all of you, particularly students, parents and teachers to share their experiences about examinations be it preparing for examinations, the role of parents and teachers in the run up to the examinations.

Please also share memorable exam anecdotes that have left a lasting impression in your minds.

Some of the inputs received will be compiled in the form of an e-book that will become a friend to all youngsters taking these board and competitive exams.

In respect of various competitive exam I want to say Sir .... the fee for exam is quite high every time about Rs500-600..and sir the second thing is Unreserved seats .. can't a general category student don't have the right to get a job .... I don't say to cut the reservation system but instead please have some of the seats reserved for the general .... and a student pass should be made in every state for travelling in private buses ..so that it become somewhat relief to travel long distance exam

I do believe we live only once, and our examination system doesn't tell us how well we are living this life. Just a food for thought....

Many states demand special package and status for Poverty strike states, So, In state like Odisha, As our CM says its should have special status for Poverty. And in Odisha, A student pays 1000 for its own state Entrance exam.. Its so funny That our own state relives extra burden amount on HIgh rated Companies for bills.. I basically feel we need a Central Structure for Exam Fees. which unanimously decide Fees every year.

Mr. PM, now a days its a common practice to change examination centre (for state boards/ university/ department exams). Its really difficult to send children (if 2 or more and their centers are different) on new spot safely and on time. Its specially difficult in case of girl child and single parents. Please pay attention.

Maths is an important subject but its education is not up to mark in schools. There should be two MATH subjects MATH-1, MATH-2 right from 1st standard upto 12th. MATH is very important.

The whole process of competitive exam shall be completed in a defined time frame. Except from exams conducted by UPSC, no other bodies are concerned about time frame. More time it takes to declare results, more irregularities in the selection process. Minimum 20-25 set of Question papers shall be collected from experts and just before 6-7 days prior to exam and the final set of quetions shall be selected randomly to minimise the risk of question paper leak.

Ek nanhi si chinti jab dana lekar chalti hai, Chadhti deewaron par woh sau baar fisalti hai, mann ka vishwas ragon mein sahas bharta hai, chadhkar girna aur girkar chadhna naa akharta hai, Aakhir uski mehnat bekaar nai hoti, koshish karne walon ki haar nai hoti.

The exam style should be changed. The era of "mugging up notes and reproducing in answer papers" should be stopped. For example mathematics(especially engineering), in that the student has to mug up all the formulas to solve the questions in exams. What is the aim behind exams(for mathematics)? its to see student's capacity to solve problems and not to see his mental capacity, isn't it? To speak in "computer geeks" way, not to test HDD capacity but to check processor speed, capacity etc.

We should put an end to BOOKS circulation in schools. Now a days, most students go for tuitions where teaching is in form of easy, short, simple notes form. The teacher teaches and the students prepare notes simultaneously, enabling better knowledge absorption. If books are there students need not attend schools. It affects the quality of education somewhere down the line. Exams must be online. The task is difficult but not impossible. No question of paper leak, quality of exam.
