The India Newborn Action Plan (INAP) was launched by Hon’ble Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Harsh Vardhan on 18th September, 2014 in New Delhi. It outlines a targeted strategy for accelerating the reduction of preventable newborn deaths and stillbirths in the country. INAP defines the latest evidence on effective interventions which will not only help in reducing the burden of stillbirths and neonatal mortality, but also maternal deaths. With clearly marked timelines for implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and scaling-up of proposed interventions, it is expected that all stakeholders working towards improving newborn health in India will stridently work towards attainment of the goals of “Single Digit NMR by 2030” and “Single Digit SBR by 2030.”The INAP will be implemented within the existing RMNCH+A framework, and guided by the principles of Integration, Equity, Gender, Quality of Care, Convergence, Accountability, and Partnerships. Its strength is built on its six pillars of intervention packages, impacting stillbirths and newborn health. For effective implementation, a systematic plan for monitoring and evaluation has been developed with a list of dashboard indicators.

There are one million pharmacists available in our country. Most of them are unemployed and underutilised. Create jobs for them and utilise them in the primary health care system in the rural and remote areas of our country.

Dear Sir, There are 12,000 PG seats for 40,000 UG seats in India compared to 32,000 PG seats for 19,000 UG seats in USA after MBBS. This is the most common cause of Brain Drain which is happening.Nearly two lakh young doctors in our country, spend quite a few years in coaching class.Since huge numbers of doctors are studying at home, there is severe shortage of specialists in India. So the only solution is to increase the PG seats on par with UG seats. Sir i kindly request you to act on this.

Dear PM Sir, Please make the reports of all the inspections done available online for all the departments except the one which are confidential. For example, the details of AICTE inspection which is being done for a college is available online. So people can view and compare with the actual of the college. This would surely reduce the room of corruption and improve the quality of all the services when the inspectors are bound to write correct information found during the inspections.

Swaach Bharat progrmme is a part & parcel of healthy India programme. While a small country like Bhutan can implement that food sellers (even in street side vendors' shops) should cover the sellers' mouth with napkins & keep the food in covered containers, it is a pity that in India small & medium size food stalls & street side hwkers keep their goods & mouth uncovered.
