Partner with top Retailers and malls to retail the local handlooms thru their stores/malls.
1)Shoppers Stop is present in 23 cities and has 75 stores. This network can be leveraged to market and establish the local handloom products.
2)Shoppers stop used to do a festival called Parikrama, to promote handicrafts. They can partner with GOI to promote and work with the craftsmen.
3)For all new malls in cities with local handloom products, negotiate for 2,3 shop areas to retail the products.

This cannot be done overnight. Indian needs to develop habits and people need to understand the hardway ...
#1: If All MPs/ MLAs go to Parliament/ Vidhan Sabha wearing handloom product, everytime and make sure this becomes habit -> Whenever you go to meet foreign delegation, wear Handloom product/ swadeshi style..this will showcase our products in bigger way.
#2: Invest in Handloom project as part of Make in India, design/ develop products to TODAY's kind, this will attract young Indians.

TODAY IN TEXTILES OR FASHION INDUSTRY PEOPLE BUY SAREES NOT TO FULFILL THERE BASIC NEED BUT THE BUT TO FULFILL THERE ESTEEM NEED EARLIER THE SILK IS VERY COSTLY AND IT WAS A SYMBOL OF ROYALTY SO IF WE WANT TO PROMOTE HAND LOOM WE HAVE TO MAKE IT ROYAL BY USING IT IN OUR BOLLYWOOD INDUSTRY OR TV INDUSTRY AS PEOPLE USE TO BUY THOSE THINGS WHAT THEIR ROLE MODELS USE TO WEAR MOREOVER WE MUST MAKE AN INNOVATION AND MAKE OUR SILK LIGHTER IN WEIGHT SO THAT IT ALSO COMPETE WITH WESTERN WEARS.

There are many weavers who can do wonders with the hand weaving system which they have been using for decades. All needed is the Govt support in the form of publicity and marketing. First we need a web site which given an over view of various types of handloom products that are produced in India. In Andhra itself we pochampaali, uppada etc. We also need a marketing outlet which sources all the handloom products and sell. We can have physical outlets or best is to have an on line selling system

An ecommerce site for handloom products would be very useful - both to the seller and buyer. No middlemen for sellers and convenience for buyers. All outlets under KVIC's and State oulets like APCO, Cauvery, Mrignayanee etc can also be roped in. A central platform where I can buy any of the state or khadi products! Amazon's model is great for seller as well as buyer. It can be studied and adopted suitably.

I recently visit Khadhi Oulet in Malleshwaram, Bangalore. Bought 4 saris. I liked other products there also but didn't have time. Tried if I could buy them online. Unfortunately, I didn't find any site. Online site for Khadi products & Handloom products that are certified as genuine and trusted, certified by government would be GREAT! Please open an online portal for Khadi and Handloom products. An e-commerce site exclusively for Khadi and Handloom products would be great!

The product of Indian hand looms should compete the new designer wear. It should come out of the tag of "traditional" wear and the clothes should be so designed that without a second thought people should be accept that they can get a wide variety of collection irrespective of whether its a marriage function or party or reception.....
